One Shots and Other Stuff [Requests are Open]

"Massive thunderstorms have triggered a tornado warning in the Eastern section of the suburbs outside the city," the woman on the television said as she pressed a microphone to her lips, a bored expression her face. With a monotone voice she added, "authorities highly suggest that all residents stay inside until the showers stop tomorrow morning."

"Damn." I said, the TV remote fumbling in my hands as I clicked it off with a static filled buzz. I places the remote on a small coffee table that separated the television from the couch, "I'm sorry, babe. I thought that we could out to dinner tonight, but we probably should stay indoors until the weather clears."

"Oh." I heard a small voice say from besides me. I looked over, seeing a petit girl curled up on the couch, hugging her knees, "but how am I going to get home?"

"I guess you'll just have to stay here tonight," I announced, plopping down on the cushion next to the smaller girl. She immediately looked towards me, her crystal blue eyes the same color as my own orbs. My heart began beating faster as I felt our eyes connect, a burning sensation formed in my chest.

"Oh." She said again, turning her head again.

"It's not like I'm going to let you go outside with the possibility of you being in danger," I placed a hand on her shoulder, but she jumped under my touch, goosebumps quickly covering her arms.

Thunder boomed in the distance, and she jumped again. But this time, she fell into my chest, her back pressing against the front of my body.

"Miku, are you okay?" I asked while wrapping my arms around her frail frame, pushing the girl onto my lap.

She looked up at me, locks of blue hair falling in her face, "f-"

Thunder sounded again in the distance, and I could feel the girl shaking.

"Fine." She finished, now bitting her lower lip as she glanced away. I could hear the sound of her swallowing, "can we watch a movie or something?"

"Yeah, sure, what do you have in mind?" I asked, my hand now traveling to the top of her head, fingers running through her light blue hair. Although Miku usually had her hair tied in two slick pig tails on the back of her head, tonight she wore it down, causing it to cascade over both shoulders like a waterfall.

"Um..." She nuzzled the side of her head into the palm of my head, and I could feel my heart beginning to pound with every step. Soon I could see the corners of her eyes looking dreamily up at me, and everyplace on my body where she sat began to ache for her. "How about a chick flick?"

"Of course!" I laughed, "you and your chick flicks."

"Hey!" She said defensively, looking up at me, "thanks to those movies, I know exactly what to look for in a relationship."

I leaned forwards, my lips brushing against hers, "and what is that?"

I could see Miku's face beginning to flush a red almost as vibrant as my pink hair. Her eyes darted the other direction, though her face was still only centimeters in front of mine. In a small voice, she whispered, "you."

My eyes widened, and for once, she was the one making me blush. I took in a shaky breathe, turning my head the other way, "you're such a hopeless romantic."

"But that's why you love me!" She added, "now start the movie, Luka."

"Fine, fine, hand me that remote," I said, pointing to the remote resting on the coffee table in front of her.

Miku leaned forwards, reaching for the remote with slender fingers. When it was in her hand she drew the object close to her body.

That was when the rain hit, it was a soft pitter-patter at first, but than crashed into a full on down pour. Miku jumped the second the rain began splattering on the roof, dropping the remote and causing it to skid across the floor, landing on the floor beneath the television.
