(AN: This is basically a repost. A super old, poorly written repost.)

Soon, the sound of a buzzing alarm clock echoed in the room. My eyes slowly opened as my vision cleared, seeing the same teal walls I wake up to every morning. After releasing a quick yawn and stretching my hands far above my head, I turned off the alarm clock, glancing to see the time. Seven in the morning.

I sleepily got out of bed, stumbling over my feet as I made my way to my cream colored dresser. I stared at the mirror hanging above it, examining my reflection for a few minutes. My finger extended forwards, pressing against the cold mirror and slowly trailing down it.

After a few seconds I pivoted the other way, grabbing a blue towel that was draped over the door and heading towards the bathroom. I took a not-so-quick hot shower before wrapping the towel around my body and making my way back to my room. I quietly closed the door behind me, not wanting to wake anyone else up, and made my way back to the same dresser.

I pulled open a drawer, digging through it to find the perfect shirt. It absolutely needed to be perfect. Just incase. After searching through numerous drawers and practically laying out everything from my closet on my bed, I finally gave up.

"What am I supposed to do now?" I pouted, looking around while trying to find a top that would work with the pink skirt I picked out for the occasion. "Oh well..."

With that I leaned forwards and grabbed a plan black tank top and a white sweatshirt that was tossed on the floor. I quickly brushed them off, and then tried on my outfit. Once everything was set, I glanced in the mirror again, turning my body from side to side and noticing that this outfit looked fine from every angle. Yet, it felt as if this look was missing something.

"Oh, I got it!" My hands seemed to clap together on command as my feet raced over to a jewelry box on my nightstand. I smiled to myself as I opened it, a familiar chime lingered in the air, playing my favorite melody in the world. I loved this music box.

After scanning through a few accessories, I finally picked out a yellow flower beret, but it wasn't just any hair clip. Seeing this flower made my feel nostalgic, bring back warm memories from when I first got it, more importantly, the dreamy guy who ended up presenting it to me.

I snapped out of my daydream, shaking my head before tying my hair into my classic pigtails. I ran a few fingers through my hair, combing it out once more as I muttered softly, "I wonder if he'll notice my new style..." I giggled sadly, "what am I saying? There's no way he'd pay that much attention."

I clipped back some loose strands of hair with that yellow flower, finishing my look. A grin began to form on my face as I swung open my bedroom door and scurried down the stairs, nearly tripping over the last step.

"Careful, Miku! How many times do I have to tell you!? Do. Not. Run. Down. The. Stairs." A familiar voice called out, a touch of aggravation yet worry in her voice.

"Yes, mom." I muttered sarcastically, rolling my eyes and walking into the kitchen. I noticed a brown haired lady cooking at the stove, "please tell me you're not trying to cook again."

She turned her head towards me, "Jesus. I'm not a bad cook."

"Tell that to the burnt toast," I laughed, pointing to the toaster that was plugged in at a counter. Grey smoke rose from a piece of blackened bread.

"Crap!" She yelled, setting the spatula she was using on the counter and sprinting over to the counter where she unplugged the toaster. She then waved her hands above it in a large gesture, clearing the film of smoke and luckily not setting off the fire alarms.
