Dream and Corpse are childhood friends. Celebrating each other's birthdays was very important to them. Corpse dies and from then on Dream, ignoring his own birthday, only celebrates Corpse's birthday by burning a cake. In prison, once a year he has one chance to ask for something. That day is Corpse's birthday and Dream, instead of asking for something for himself, asks for a cake to celebrate his friend's birthday. Receiving a quickly made sponge cake base smeared with the worst quality cream, Dream prays and apologises for such a messy celebration, but it's the only thing he could do now. He carefully burns it in the lava. He begins to cry recalling happy times and lavish and sumptuous birthday celebrations. He has flashbacks of the time he tried to create the most beautiful cake he could for Corpse. He misses it. Then, due to a lack of food and prolonged crying, he begins to hallucinate, sees a hazy figure putting his hand on his shoulder and whispering "Thank you", then faints.

Uh- yeah, I really like concept about Dream and Corpse being childhood friends. But what I like even more, is when it's angsty and one of them dies...
