Chapter 10.

Kai's POV.

     Putting on both our helmets we drove off. The night streets filled with sparkling lights and people. The night is cold and Evelyn hugged onto me tight from behind.
" Kai, can you stop at a restaurant? " She asked from behind me.
" Okay! Is Chinese food alright for you?" I asked giving her a glance from the side mirror.
" Sounds good to me! " She said with a smile.
There's a place where mama bring food sometimes, it's on the way so I'll probably stop there. 

Suddenly droplets of water started falling from above. It's starting to rain. Within a flash of seconds it started raining heavily.
" Kai! Don't stop at a restaurant! Drive. " She said, with her soaked in rain like this I can't stop anywhere it's best to get her home before she catches a cold.

Turning to her street I stopped at her house for her to get off and run in. She didn't. She got off the bike and stood in the rain without running in.

" Park and come in! " She said and turned to go open the door.
Without trying to argue with her I did exactly as she said.

" Here take this. " She said softly handing me a towel. Both of us were soaked wet. She walked to the kitchen not even bothered about the water that's dripping on the floor.

" What about dinner for you? We couldn't get it on the way. " I asked drying my hair with the towel.

" I might have to prepare something, but I'm tired " she spoke going through the fridge. Of course she'd be tired after all the walking today.

" Wait for me, I'll be right back. " I said and walked to the door with my keys.
" What? Where're you going? Kai's it's still raining get in here! " She yelled as she came running after me.
I started the bike as she stood at the door. " Kai, what are you doing? Get in now! " She said crossing her arms.
" Go in and close the door! " I said and drove off. 

I was only able to get to the convenience store because of the heavy rain. I went in and grabbed a few things and head back.

Evelyn's POV.

   It's been sometime now that Kai has left. Where did they even go. After taking a shower and changing I decided to make some hot drinks for us and prepare something to eat. Just as I placed the mugs on the counter I heard a bike pull over. 

I hurriedly went to open the door for them. They came in soaked in rain all over again.
" H-here, I couldn't get to the restaurant but I got something for dinner. " They said handing me a bag full of cup noodles.

" You went out just to get this? I would've made something.... But thank you! " I said to which they nodded slightly shivering because of the cold.

" You go and take a shower and change I kept you some clothes inside while I will make this for us. " I said guiding them to the washroom.

Once they were in I started making us some cup noodles. I fried us both two eggs with the noodles. After awhile they walked in wearing the shirt and sweats I left for them.
" Something smells good! " They said taking a seat on one of the kitchen stools.
I placed a hot cup of noodles with a mug of tea in front of them and sat next to them.

We digged into the food without a word. After both of us were finished I poured ourselves another cup of tea and walked to the couch.

" So you live alone? " They asked taking a sip of their tea.
" Yes ofcourse. Do you have any other siblings, I mean I saw your mother and brother the other day. " I asked turning to face them.
" No it's just mom and Steve no one else. " They said with a smile on. That means their father is not there. Now I feel horrible for asking that did it make them uncomfortable. I kept silent for a moment.

" Where does your family live? " They asked breaking the awkward silence.
" I have no siblings. My parents live in London. I grew up there but I moved here when I was twenty four. " I said to which they looked surprised.

We got to know each other over a cup of tea. Kai is a interesting person, and turns out they prefer anything and not just ' they or them ' I'm calling her ' her ' now. I've got to know so much about her for this time like her favorite music band, food... It never felt tiring to listen to her talk. Her eyes would spark when she finds out that we like the same things and be excited and happy to talk about her favorite things. I'm really liking this childish side in Kai.

Once our cups were empty I collected them and went in the kitchen.

" Evelyn- " she spoke getting up from the couch.
" Yeah what is it? " I asked turning off the water.
" I'll be getting ready to leave then! " She said walking over to the kitchen.

" What?! Where? " I asked confused.
" Home.. " she said with a sheepish smile on.

" are you crazy? It's still pouring outside and it's too late now, I can't let you go. " I Said walking in front of her.

" alright then I'll stay on that couch then? " She said rather questioningly.
" Come with me! " I said and guided her upstairs.
" I'm sorry my guest room is a mess right now that's where I put all my things in, because I never have guests. " I said to making her chuckle.

" You'll be sleeping here. " I said opening my room door. She looked at me then at the room.
" No, I'll just sleep on the couch. It's no big deal! " She protested.

" Kai, I won't bite! Stop being so stubborn! " I said opening my closet. " I have some blankets for you, some pillows... " I turned around and she was standing scanning around the room.
I handed her the blankets and the pillow and jumped on bed. She looked at me for awhile then spoke.

" You know what, I just got an idea.. I sleep here right next to you on the ground. " She said with a grin while opening up the blanket I gave her.
" Oh~ Lord! You know what suit yourself! I cannot with your stubbornness right now! " I groaned as I threw a pillow at her and turned around.

I can hear her laugh from behind and I swear I'm blushing right now.
