My Dentist Girl. { gxg }

Chapter 14.

Kai's Pov.

Pairing my black trousers with a navy blue shirt, I tucked it in slightly. Grabbing the extra helmet and jacket I went downstairs.
" Kai! Wherever you go let me know if you're not coming home at night! " Mom yelled while serving Steve his breakfast. "Alright mama! I will! " I yelled back while closing the front door behind me. I got on the bike and texted Evelyn that I'm on my way.

Pulling up at her place I got off and rang the bell. My heart racing in me. The door opened and a smiling Evelyn was at the door. " You're here! Come in!. " She said letting me walk in.
" It smells good! "I said leaving the jackets and helmets on the stool. She smiled warmly at me and went on.
" Sit down I'll pour you a cup of tea. " She said placing two plates with good looking pancakes on the table.
Finishing the breakfast she made together, she went upstairs to throw on something, as she said. She came downstairs wearing a pair of beige trousers with an baby blue t-shirt tucked into it. She looks incredible even in the simplest thing she puts on.

" Shall we go then? "She asked stopping in front of me.
" Yeah! I- uh let me just grab these. " I said trying to keep myself together under her gaze. I have a whole day with her. Just the thought of that made my heart race all over again.

" So, I was planning on going to this festival in the next town first. Is it okay with you? "I asked while helping her put on the jacket. " I haven't been to one in ages. " Hearing her say that boosted up my confidence,as if I've chose the right place for us.
" Alright then hold on tight. " I said and she wrapped her arms around me.

If you ask someone else they'd say this day is just like the others with the same weather but in me it wasn't like others. Everything seems nice and so different. Driving through streets with people never felt this much fun. A little ray of sunshine never felt this warm. The little breeze that flows never felt so fresh. An excited girl sitting in the back of a bike turning her head side to side trying to see everything they pass by never looked this cute. Someone holding onto me never felt this comforting. She makes everything so much better for me and I'd do anything to do so for her.

I drove stealing glances at her time to time. We arrived at the town and it was a little crowded. Much more like alive. People on the street, children running and playing, it was indeed alive. I could see Evelyn smiling at the sight of little kids playing. I drove slowly through the streets in search of a safe parking space. Once we were at a close distance from the main festival grounds we found space and parked.

" This is great Kai! " She said excitedly as I locked the bike.
" I'm glad you liked it here. " I said stepping to her side. " It's pretty crowded stay close alright, we'll go to the main grounds first. " I said and to which she held my hand tightly surprising me. I looked at her confused yet with a smile.
" I won't let go, so we don't get lost. " She said with a warm smile. I nodded and walked through the streets. She would drag me to little stalls by the street every few steps we take and I'm not complaining. We were finally at the main festival grounds after so many "distractions" that as Evelyn says.

" What're you going to do first? " I asked her, looking around the ground that was filled with tents, balloons and much more.
" I want some snacks. " She said pointing at a place with snacks. We walked over and she bought snacks which I was about to pay. she said she'll pay and that I could pay for the next thing that she wants. I agreed and we walked over to the games section.

"Kai! Let's play something! " She said and dragged me behind her. It was a shooting game. There's balloons on a board to which you should shoot and depending on how many balloons you pop, you get a prize.
" You wanna shoot? " I asked trying to hold my laughter in as she was stretching her arms out warming up. " I might be a dentist now but it doesn't mean that I can't shoot. " She said putting some money on the counter. An old couple was smiling behind the counter watching our silly argument.
" Alright, here you go.. show your partner the power of a dentist! " The old man laughed and placed a toy gun on the counter.

" Thank you sir! At least one person is on my side. " She said side eyeing me as she took the gun. She held tight onto it and shot but missed. " Two more chances Missy! " The old man reminded.
She nodded then shot but missed, a close one actually. " One more chance miss. Dentist! " The old man said. "This time I'm hitting it for sure!" She said and shot yet missed again making her pout. " So, I can't shoot. " She said in a low voice.
I'm amused by this childish Evelyn that I'm seeing right now and I love it.

" Kai, you try! " She said giving the gun to me. " And if you win get me that plushie. " She finished pointing at a little blue plushie.
" You should get all three shots to get that one. " The old man said. " I'll try my best to get that for you. " I said paying him.
I took the gun in my hand and fixing my aim, I shot. It popped a  balloon.
" Oh! Your partner is good! " The old woman said to Evelyn as she smiled and looked at me. I took another shot and popped one more.
" One more shot! " The old man said as eve was clapping excitedly. One last shot and I popped the last balloon. " Alright here you go! " The old man handed me the blue plushie that Evelyn asked for earlier. I turned to her as she had a wide smile plastered on her face.

" I think I'm gonna keep this now.." I said trying to put the plushie behind me. She whined and looked at me with a pout. " Kai.. "
I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of her being this childish. " There.. there.. it's yours! " I said handing her the plushie.
" You two are so adorable together! " The old lady said with a sweet smile. We thanked them and walked away.
Together.. with her, is all that I could ask for.
