*ring...ring...ring*

"Ugh. Hey baby, what's up?" I said happily

"Hey sweetheart, sorry for calling so late, I just wanted to let you know I'm going to be working late again." Stiles said.

Stiles has been working with the FBI for almost 5 years now, I can handle all the late nights at the office or the traveling around the world to work on cases, but lately the "late nights" cause him to sometimes not even come home at all. I just want to spend some time with him, but I guess it's partly my fault for him working so late.

"Are you working on that case again." I asked.

"Yeah, there's been another murder." He said, sighing.

"What are you busy with?" Stiles asked

"Oh uh, I'm just washing some dishes, I'm almost done." I said

"Oh okay, I gotta go now, baby. i'll talk to you later, okay? I love you." Stiles said

"Okay, stay safe, and I love you too."

"I will, bye."

"Bye," I said before hanging up. I took a few seconds to breathe and then went back to washing the dishes.

I was lying on the couch watching TV when I heard the door open and slam close again.

"Stiles?" I asked, getting up

"Hey baby, what time is it?"

"It's 2 in the morning." Stiles said, rubbing his eyes.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked, placing a hand on his back.

"It's that god for saken killer! I don't know how the fuck I haven't found him yet! His work is sloppy and he doesn't bother cleaning up and yet there's no fucking evidence leading me to who the hell this could be!" Stiles yelled, slamming his fist down on the kitchen counter.

"What makes you think it's a 'he'? Any woman can murder someone and get away with it. You just have to be smart enough...or in my case, be engaged to an FBI agent." I thought to myself as I comforted Stiles.

"Maby it's a woman." I said

"I doubt it. Women who murder people usually don't like to make a mess, that's why they mostly poison people, and if they create a mess, they usually clean up afterward."

"Noted," I thought

"These crime scenes are messy. What's your namewhy we think it's a guy doing this." Stiles said, turning around to look at me.

"Do you know why he's doing this?"

"Not really, could be because he's a psychotic lunatic."

"Ouch."

"Or it's thrilling, maybe it excites him, gives him an adrenaline rush."

"Maybe."

"Sorry, I'm talking about this too much." Stiles said, placing a hand on my cheek.
