𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 (𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟐)

The sky looks dark and gloomy.

Everyone look confused, where did Emerald'gaze and White'Star go? Bat'ears sprung awake gasping for air, everyone surrounded her. Oleander'paw is being comforted by his siblings and his friend. He sees Bat'ears waking up, everyone asks millions of questions. "Is Emerald'gaze okay...?" Hail'cloud ask, Bat'ears lowers her head. "𝙃𝙚'𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙚." Everyone would be in distraught, Hail'cloud shed a tear. Oleander'paw went in denial, he wouldn't want to hear his brother dying.

"𝙃𝙚'𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙...? 𝙃𝙚 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙧?" He asked, Bat'ears went in tears. "I'm sorry, but he had suffered the same fate as Ferret'hop. There's nothing you could do about it." Meanwhile the spirits land down onto the ground, later seeing Emerald'gaze's hollow body. Deer'step and Dust'star looked at their adopted son's body in horror. Everyone lowers their head down. Emerald'gaze had risked his life to saving the territory, they all soon regret mistreating him and such.

Until something happened, Oleander'paw looked down at the ground, until he later passed out. Everyone quickly went for his aid.

Oleander'paw woke up in a spiritual world, with a huge sun in the middle, and everything fading. The sun grows bigger and bigger, Oleander'paw swiveled around panicking. He backed away seeing a shadowy cat, that transformed into Emerald'gaze. Oleander'paw looked surprised, but he seen the void growing all around his body. Emerald'gaze seen Oleander'paw's scared expression. Emerald'gaze giggled, he was excited to actually have a conversation with him for the first and last time.

"𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥, 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦"

"What? You're still alive!?" Oleander'paw asked.

"𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘮 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘰. 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨."

"I'm sorry I haven't talk to you, since I thought it would hurt you...or something." Oleander'paw lowered his head, he tears up.

"𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦, 𝘐 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘋𝘶𝘴𝘵'𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺. 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘺, 𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐'𝘮 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘪𝘮, 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘢𝘺. 𝘐'𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺."

"I wish Ferret'hop was still here." Oleander'paw said.

"𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘵𝘰𝘰, 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘦." Emerald'gaze said, he then would ask. "𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭? 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴? 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮, 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘋𝘶𝘴𝘬'𝘱𝘢𝘸, 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥."

"They're fine." Oleander'paw said, Emerald'gaze grinned. "𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥."

"I guess this is it." He looked at the sun, the realm is halfway into dust, it only left a small island left.

"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘣𝘺𝘦, 𝘖𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳'𝘱𝘢𝘸, 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘦."

"I won't." Oleander'paw said, his voice sounded like if he was already crying nonstop. Emerald'gaze would pat his head until he morphed himself into the void, Oleander'paw woke up.

Everyone looks at Oleander'paw, nobody didn't say a word. Not even himself, he would stand up walking over to the body, and Ferret'hop's. Everyone walked over to a beach with the bodies. The siblings stood together, as Dusk'paw, Silver'fox, and Oleander'paw walk in front of everyone. The SpiritClan cats made a small wood square boat for the bodies. As they reach, Oleander'paw felt the soft sand on his paws. Dusk'paw and Silver'fox stood there for support, and it was time for Oleander'paw to let the past go.

The spirits watching in the distance, especially the StarClan cats. They reached close to the water, Oleander'paw look at the bodies one more time until the cats put them onto the boat. Again, nobody ever made a peep, they all paid respects to the two. And later watch them float to the darkness. Dusk'paw leaned his head onto Oleander'paw's shoulders, as they both watch the boat float into the fog.

It was truly the end of the era.
