you can really tell about a person based on their favorite icecream flavor.
wynton was fun yet analytic so naturally he always went for rainbow sherbet.
lia was aggressive but always engaging so she chose rocky rode as most days.
shun's quiet and charismatic attitude always landed him vanilla with banana and peanut toppings
and finally, ajit was generous but also a daredevil, his favorite was chocolate chip.. with an added scoop of chocolate mint of course.
the group sat peacefully at a table eating their icecream from fancy plastic bowls and spoons all engaged in a conversation about bakugan and film making.
the small sized restaurant was desolate when it came to customers except for the four teens and a couple who were much more quiet then the children who sat across the building.
"i wonder when dan will get here." wynton suddenly asked looking over at where dan would sit which was overtaken by his trophy.
"i know, it's almost been an hour." shun replied looking up at the icecream shaped clock which hung beside the door.
suddenly ajit asked the question that lingered in their heads.. "do you think he ditched us?"
but the girl of the group persisted "nah. I doubt dan would do that." lia shrugged.
"what makes you say that?" the vestus brawler asked.
"because he should know, if he did ditch us. I'd beat him up!" lia then slammed her palm onto the table causing their bowls and spoons to clatter. the three boys looked at eachother concerned and when lia grinned they all threw themselves to a fit of laughter.
"yeah, that won't be nessasary because dan would never ditch us." shun chuckled. "he's a good friend and even better at keeping promises."
"yeah!" the rest of the group agreed.
and of course, they were right because once the bell above the door rung indicating another customer, the four turned around smiling at who they saw.
"dan!"
"hey guys. sorry im late." dan laughed nervously. " got caught up in.. fanbase traffic."
"fans and paparazzi swarmed you?" wynton asked which earned him a nod from his best friend. the ebony smiled. "typical."
"that's not all. I also brought someone along."
after having said that, the group wasn't so estatic about the person that walked beside dan. he placed his gloved hands in his cloak pocket as their smiles faded.
"magnus? you brought magnus?" lia scoffed. "why?!"
"oh well you see, I found him in the bathroom and i thought it'd be a good idea to-"
"trust me. I don't want be here as much as you don't want me here." magnus said rudely cutting off dan. all part of the act though. funnily enough it was dan's idea for magnus to cut him off like that just so he wouldn't over explain and avoid the questions. "and I'm not here by choice, dan basically forced me. he was lucky I was craving icecream tonight. don't worry though, I'll be out of your hair for the most of the night" he grinned. "i invited my friends."
magnus went over to the parlor to order his icecream of choice. bruting attitude yet relaxed behind closed doors? yeah, magnus' favorite icecream flavor was lavender chocolate chip.
dan looked over at his friends disapproval before shrugging and following mag.
dan was always excited for everything but he was also naive and innocent. his flavor of choice: strawberry.
"what the heck is dan thinking bringing magnus like that? he's only gunna warrant trouble!" lia whisper yelled to her friends.
shun shrugged. "i'm surprised magnus agreed though.. wouldn't you think he'd yell at him to.. uh.. bug off?"
"he'd use dirtier words, shun." wynton giggled. "but you're right. for magnus to be here. he's definitely up to something." the boy in glasses glanced over at ajit who didn't say anything on the matter. "what do you think ajit?"
"i think this icecream is super frickin good." he replied after having a spoonful.
wynton laughed while lia rolled her eyes and then went back to gossiping about magnus with shun.
ajit just laughed back before growing quiet again and looking over at the pair of rivals.
