Somewhere in what appeared to be a pretty simple place, a human baby was shown playing with a white puppy. The puppy barked, licking the baby's face as he giggled.

But their happiness was cut short when the baby's parents entered the room and the mother picked up her child.

"We must hurry" Jor-El told his wife as they left the room. "The planet won't survive much longer"

The puppy being confused followed after the couple.

"Are you sure about this?" Lara asked her husband.

Jor-El sighed. "I'm afraid it's the only way"

The family looked around seeing that their home was beginning to crumble. In fact, their whole planet appeared to be falling apart as the rumbling only grew louder and more violent.

The puppy followed the couple into a room and watched as they placed their baby into a special space capsule.

"Krypton is about to die" Jor-El said gravely.

"But you, dear son, will live on" Lara said, storking her baby's cheek for the final time.

Jor-El then activated the space capsule as its door slowly began to close and rise up into the air. The puppy barked, wanting to go with the baby but Jor-El picked him up.

"Krypto, no!" He told the puppy, holding him back.

But the puppy couldn't bare to be separated from his best friend, and neither could the baby. With all his might, the puppy managed to wriggle out of Jor-El's arms and jumped into the pod with the baby right as the door sealed shut. Jor-El wanted to intervene but was stopped by Lara.

"No. Our boy will need a friend" She said.

Jor-El nodded, then told the puppy. "Watch over our son"

With that, the space capsule took off right as the planet Krypton was destoryed by it's red supergiant sun. The two barely escaped from the explosion, but they made it out okay and were now heading towards a galaxy known as the Milky Way.

The baby started crying, being sad and scared over what just happened. The puppy came over to the baby, seeming to understand what he was going through and licked his face. The puppy nuzzled up against the baby to comfort him as the crying soon stopped.

The poor young souls, having lost everything they knew already. Their families, their home. But one thing they knew they would always have... was each other.

Present Day~

"Take it in kids!" Walter's voice said.

We are then shown the Harpercop family placing their bags down, having just arrived in Metropolis. Apparently they had just moved to the metropolitan city after Jane and Walter both had to relocate there for work.

"Isn't it lovely" Jane smiled.

"Whoaaa!" Brock and Ann were in awe.

That's the Harpercop twins for you. Nothing ever got past them, they always enjoyed a move. Kali however...

Don't get me wrong, Kali had gotten used to the whole moving around every now and then at this point. But that didn't mean she still missed all her friends every time she was forced to leave them.

Walter noticed his oldest daughter's discomfort and tried cheering her up.

"You know, I heard this place is famous. They have their own super hero" He mentioned.

"Really?" Ann asked eagerly.

"Cool!" Brock eyes were filled with excitement as he jumped up and down.

The twins were so easy to convince. Kali however rolled her eyes slightly, saying she'd believe it when she saw it.

"Well, we better get to our new house" Jane told her family. "It's only a couple of blocks from here"

Kali started heading off in the other direction however. "I'll join you guys later. I'm going for a walk" She said.

Walter and Jane didn't stop her, knowing that their oldest always needed some time to herself whenever they moved.

The 10 year old walked down the street, hoping some fresh air would help clear her mind. What she didn't realize though was that she had ended up on the wrong side of the streets and was suddenly jumped by three thugs.

"Well hey there, little lady" The first thug, who was the leader greeted the young adventure girl. "And just where might you be heading to this fine afternoon?"

"None of your beeswax!" Kali glared, showing no fear of the men.

The thug then noticed the crystal hanging around Kali's neck. "Hmm, that's a interesting gem you got there... Let me see it" He said.

Kali quickly clutched her crystal, holding it close to her as she glared. "In your dreams, punk!"

The thugs then lunged towards Kali. She managed to kick one of them in the nuts, but the other two quickly gained the upper hand and had her pinned to the ground.

"Get off of me!" Kali struggled. "I'm warning you! I know origami!"

The lead thug was about to grab the crystal. But strangely, that never happened. Kali suddenly felt this strong gust of wind as the thugs were thrown off her, screaming. She soon heard barking and growling and got up before looking a bit surprised. There was a white dog in a red cape fighting off the bad men. The adventure girl couldn't believe her eyes as this dog appeared to have supernatural abilities.

The thugs soon gave up, running away screaming. The strange dog then came over to Kali when she noticed his unusual looking tag. It was a big red S symbol of some sorts.

"Do not worry, young citizen, you are safe now. No thanks necessary" He told the girl.

"Uh, thank you?" Kali replied, still in the middle of processing what she had just witnessed.

"Wait, you can understand me?" The dog tilted his head in confusion, before coming up closer to the girl in suspicion. "Are you working for the man?"

"No, I'm just a kid" Kali defended, being just as confused herself. "And who's the man?"

"Krypto!" A male voice then called out.

Kali looked up to the sky while the dog wagged his tail, seeing a man in a blue suit, red cape, and wearing the same S symbol as the dog hover down before landing in front of her.

"Are you all right, kid?" This strange man asked Kali.

"Uh, yeah. I'm all right" Kali replied, before looking back at the dog. "Thanks to him"

"That's Krypto" The man pointed at the dog before introduing himself. "And I'm Superman"

Kali soon became lost in amazement once she realized she was in the presence of real live super heroes. Superman and Krypto took Kali home to her worried parents and told the family everything how he was Metropolis's superhero and his dog Krypto was the city's very own Superdog.

Overtime, Kali and the twins became real close friends with Krypto and Superman. They would watch Superman and Krypto bust criminals, sometimes even getting to help them out. Play fetch with Krypto in the park on his off time. Superman even let the Harpercop siblings join them in Krypto's favorite activity, going on walks... In the sky!
