Marceline and Princess Bubblegum breakup quite a few times and decide to give being friends with benefits a try
A year ago
"Hey Finn what's up???" Bubblegum asked to the younger boy. "Well...you know how I think you're really pretty and kind?" He says. "Yes?? Does this have something to do with that???" She asked. "Kinda.....we'll I kinda sorta....really like you, I think you're really pretty and sweet and you smell like cotton candy and I wanna know if you wanna be my girlfriend" he blurts out blushing. "Finn, you're cute, and I think that's really sweet, but I'm an adult, you're a kid, maybe find someone your age" bubblegum says giving Finn a kiss on the cheek and heading home.
Present day
Marceline flew in through the princesses window and hovered over her desk watching the girl work. "Go away Marceline" bubblegum says. "Com'n Bonnie, don't be like that" Marceline replies knowing Bonnie was frustrated with her work. "Just go, you know the rules when I'm working" bubblegum says sounding slight more irritated. "Yknow Princess, I don't live in your village so you have no authority over me" Marceline says sticking her tongue out. "Well I could have you arrested for trespassing" she says back. "Yeah yeah, whatever princess, I'll see you later" marceline says. "No you won't" bubblegum replies smiling a little. "We'll see"marceline says before leaving Bonnie swore she heard marceline whisper *I love you tho* but maybe it was just in her head.
All day Bonnie thought about Marceline, she knew that they agreed to be friends with benefits but she was pretty sure she still had it bad for Marceline. "You drive me crazy Marcy" Bonnie mumbled to herself laying her head in her desk.
It was now around 10pm
"I'm back~" marceline says seeing Bonnie on her balcony wearing her old rock t-shirt. "It's not like I was waiting for you idiot" Bonnie says. "Okay" Marceline says shrugging and nearly flying off until bonnie grabbed her hand. "Marcy w-wait!" Bonnie yells and marceline turned around to see Bonnie standing there looking down. "I thought you said you didn't want to call me 'Marcy" you said you didn't like me anymore?~" marceline jokes, she knew Bonnie still had feelings for her but she wasn't going to force it. "Sh-shut up" bubblegum says still looking at the ground which worried marceline. "You good pb's?" She asked and she realized that Bonnie was crying. "Woah, shit. Yknow I was only kidding right, don't cry" marceline says pulling the taller girl into a hug. "You're so stupid, why would i cry over your joke" Bonnie says. "I'm crying because I miss us, i miss you singing to me everyday or us going places and getting into trouble nearly making it out alive" Bonnie says and Marceline looked at her their noses brushing, then....they kissed. "I love you Bonnibel" marceline says. "I love you too Marcy"

The next morning Bonnie wakes up with marceline laying in her bed beside her, awake. She wrapped her arms around marceline and hid her face in her girlfriends neck. "Yknow, you look so cute sleeping in my t-shirt"
