Chapter 1

June 20, 1837

Somewhere far far away..

There she was laying in bed, the sun shining over her beautifully when she felt a gentle kiss on her forehead. She slowly opened her eyes to see a beautiful woman smiling lightly "good morning sleepy one" the woman said "morning mama" jayleen responded to her mom giving her a big hug. "How did you sleep jaylee" that's what she liked calling her little girl, jaylee. "I slept really good mommy thanks to you and your amazing cuddles" jayleen giggled.

Heimi was the head witch in the castle she was in charge of keeping the castle, king and his son safe and she wasn't practically a human no, she was a demon a dark cold soul that cared for no one and nothing but her job but then she suddenly found herself loving and caring for a little girl she found years ago with no mom or dad..a human girl...she adopted her and raised her as her own knowing that humans are mortal, she hated that she hated that one day she will lose her little girl her sunshine, but she couldn't let her go she loved her deeply a love no one ever experienced from her side she was always worried about her and would alway take care of her health mentally and physically. Heimi was truly a perfect mother. everyone would envy jayleen because of her mom if they knew jayleen existed and they'd do the same to Heimi, envy her for having such a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul and a caring heart. jayleen and Heimi were so special to each other they had an amazing unbreakable bond. 

"I will be leaving now like everyday to do my work, be a good girl and memorise what I gave you" Heimi said to the lil one brushing her hair in front of the mirror "yes mama I will" jayleen responded with a smile and continued to brush her hair "good girl, I'll see you tonight" heimi left to go see her most important student, The prince and soon to be king Henry Alekseev. 

There he was sitting, the sun shining on his beautiful blue-green eyes and his black hair while he was sipping on his tea enjoying the book in front of him. "Good morning your royal highness" heimi said bowing lightly, Henry smiled at her "Good morning, also no need to call me that or bow to me come on we known each other since I was a young boy" he said , she smiled saying nothing more. heimi was so strict about these thing and about the royal rules she would like everything to be perfect no matter what. the 20 years old boy went to her holding both of her hands while looking at her "Mrs Iris..you basically raised me I had no mother you know that..she passed soon after giving birth to me and since then, you took care of me so you calling me and addressing me in a formal way is unacceptable" Heimi smiled lightly cupping his face proceeding to give him a forehead kiss "Okay okay Henry now shall we start today's lesson young man?" she said still smiling at him. he nodded happily and took the lead to the castle library. 

jayleen was a little book worm as her mama called her, she truly adored books and spent lots and lots and lots of hours reading nonstop. she was having her daily walk around the library and between the huge shelves to pick a book when she heard the doors open. She instantly hid behind one of the shelves because her mama warned her about going out into the castle, why? no one knows her yet. Heimi hid her away and treated her like a little diamond she wanted to introduce her to everyone properly on her 18th birthday, jayleen was just a 16 years old little smart girl. she tried getting closer to see how Cool is her mama. she was her mom's biggest fan and supporter. As soon as she got closer her eyes were on him, Henry. he was focused on what heimi was teaching him while jayleen was trying to get a better look at his face she couldn't because her mom felt her presence as soon as she stepped in and when her eyes caught jayleen's the little one escaped the library and back to their room giggling. Henry noticed where heimi was looking so he turned around to see who or what was behind him but he found nothing. Now Henry was not practically a human he was a hybrid, his mom was a demon where his dad is a human so Henry gained a lot of his mom energy and it was toxic to humans he'd have to wear gloves all the time to not hurt someone or any human around him that's why everyone sees him wearing black leather gloves all the time he just takes them off when he is around his teachers  Heimi and the Duke caesar. They were both two powerful demons that ruled the underworld and made a pact with the king to protect him and his empire in exchange of them having  their freedom on the living land.
