A Mangled Mess

Lily's POV

We left our boards by the entrance and entered the pizzeria, this place looks so cool!

"This place is awesome!" I tugged on Alex's arm as he led me to the front desk, he told the lady we had a party booked and all our details, she pointed us to  a room where my friends were waiting. This was the 'main stage' I think.

I ran to hug Cody and Imola first, it ended in a fit of giggles and when Jac and Cooper saw they shouted;

"GROUP HUG!"

Alex walked past and patted my head, Jac brushed hair from her face and blushed at him, she waved and smiled,

"H-hi, Alex." She giggled, oh God. Cody laughed and teased her, Imola and Cooper joined in, dancing in circles around her.

"Someone's gotta crush, someone's gotta crush!" Alex laughed and leant down to her and whispered something to make her burst into laughter,

"Oh, Alex, honey. Come here." We both groaned as grandma wattled towards us with a goofy smile, she bent down and pinched my cheeks,

"Happy birthday, love." She stood up and stepped towards Alex, oh so I get the flesh off my face pinched from my bones but he gets a pat on the head?! I pouted and poked my tongue at him. When she left a tall man in a uniform stepped out and told us to sit down, the chairs were a little too small for Alex and he looked ridiculous trying to fit so he just sat on the ground in the end. The animatronics started moving and playing their instruments, they were pretty cool.  Their song soon ended and we had cake and lots of pizza, Alex didn't eat much though- grandma said it was just 'a phase' but mum has been getting worried. Soon enough we were aloud to leave the tables and have fun but we were only aloud in certain areas.

I was wondering down the halls and came across 'kid's cove', sounds cheesy enough, I thought as I entered the room. The first thing that caught my eye was an animatronic in the corner except.... It didn't look like the others, it had no 'endoskeleton' and looked all mangled and messed up, but somehow nice. I mean, it wasn't too weird but it looked creative and pretty- I think its a girl, wait what? Its a robot, dummy , I thought and smacked my forehead, but then I did something stupider.

"Hello?" I stepped towards her, her? Really?  I sighed and turned my back and was abut to leave when I heard;

"He...llo." My heart nearly jumped from my chest and I spun around to see the animatronic moving, attempting to stand? Slowly, I stepped towards it but kept a safe distance,

"Oh...God." I couldn't get anymore out more words, 

"What's.....wr...ong?" She stuttered, I just shook my head and stepped closer to the mangle.

"N-nothing?" I was getting scared, "Where's- Um, if I may ask, where's the rest of your.....body?" I stuttered, it shook its head.

"I don't know. Th-ey stopped.... fixing...me-e." I nodded, looking around the room,

"I- sorry but I-I gotta go, I'll be back." I ran out the door and back to the main stage to my friends,

"I found another animatronic in the kid's cove." I heaved as I panted,

"That's for little kids." Cody laughed, Imola shrugged;

"Yeah, its a pull apart-and-put-together thing." Jac spoke up from behind me,

"Sounds boring though, hey, I'm going home, bye." Cooper commented, we all hugged and said our good-byes then Imola and Cody ran off together,

"Wanna check her out?" I asked Jac. She replied sure and I led her to the kid's cove.

Alex's POV

"Excuse me, please don't touch them!" I pulled away as a man came running up to me and told me to stop, he looked a little frightened but I shook it off and apologized. He nodded and strolled back to  group of people he was talking to before. My phone vibrated, I pulled it from my pocket and read the text from mum, time to go! Where are you?  I looked around the room but I couldn't find Lily, down the hall and I looked in the party rooms.

"Lily? Where are you?" Further down the main hall and I called out again, louder,

"Lily, Where-"

"Here!" She and Jac ran out of a room in front of me and bumped into me, I read the name of the room.

"What were you doing in there?" I asked and leaned in to look but they Lily wouldn't let me,

"Nothing, what?"

"Mum wants us home."

back in the main stage area she said her goodbyes, got her gifts and we left, I thanked the lady at the front office for minding our boards and we rode back to our house.
