After a while, Y/n changed their attention to observe the environment. The room painted in a deep blue seemed, even if small, comfortable. There was a small table against the wall with windows that lead to outside of the establishment and five chairs side by side, one occupied by Albedo. The ceiling held the same lights that we found everywhere in the laboratory and multiple threads hanging holding with them small foldings, an Inazumien art commonly named origami, of birds. On other walls there could be found a few art pieces using techniques of all sorts, going from acrylic painting to charcoal. In general, they were rather childish, but there was potential behind each.
Not used to new encounters, Y/n stepped back behind Alice, but she pushed them the moment she saw their action. There was a moment of silence until the else adventurer spoke up,
"So, kids (the original used this English term bc why not), we'll leave you guys here for the moment being until I finish my duties," she says while bending down towards the youngster, "and you, be good kid, you'll be able to go back home soon.
Right after announcing that, Alice and Rhinedottir left the room without looking back. Y/n felt slightly troubled. They did not appreciate that we bring them here and there and now they found themselves needing to do friend-friend (I swear, it sounds better in French) with a young stranger. Personally, they wanted to go back home even with their interest towards Albedo.
Y/n walked forward mechanically (I never saw that being used in English, so it's to say they are walking in a hesitant/lenient way, idk really lol) towards Albedo that looked at the, curiously. For him, it was one of the rare children from outside the laboratory he'd met in his life. It wasn't rare for him to notice the children outside or even those of the scientists and alchemists present in the establishment. The kid had communicated before with the 'failed version' of the experiment, but it was short and with no goal. Now, he could discuss with another child, even more share some of his interests.
His thoughts were interrupted when Y/n started an interaction,
"Euh, hi, my name is Y/n, I'm six years old. What are you doing here?
After their introduction, taken aback, Albedo took some time to recover from this surprise. Y/n was really, direct. Their introduction was short, and they wasted no time. He didn't understand why they hadn't asked for his name or even why they weren't at all formal. Was it because they were the same age? Or did really lack respect towards others? Even then, he decided to answer,
"Ah, on my part, I am Albedo Kreideprinz, I have the same age as you and I am drawing now. Would you care to join me?"
Y/n agreed and sat down on one of the chairs, careful to not ruin anything on the table. They found the formal and exquisite way Albedo had of talking weird (again, English in original), but they didn't worry too much about it, joining him in his activity either way.
