I've seen Nico cry before but never would I have thought I would witness this

Nico was hysterically crying hardly able to breath as he clinged to me and I helplessly tried my best to comfort him

I look over to Frank who was holding Hazel, she was crying to and me and him just looked at each other and nodded silently

We have to be there for them

The police were taking statements and when they left Hades walked over to Frank and I who were holding his children and he looked like a mess himself

"Will, Frank, I'm heading to the hospital. I need you to watch over them. Percy and Annabeth, Jason and Piper are in their rooms...also needing space. Jerome and Leo are in the living room...I'm so sorry about all this but thank you for being there for my kids." He said looking at Hazel and Nico who were still crying in our chest

He seemed lost at what to do and I reached out and grabbed his wrist

"Go, we got it from here okay?" I whisper and he gives me a weak smile and goes to his car and I see Thalia going with him

"Will, we should get them inside." I hear Frank and I look at Hazel and she seemed to pass out from exhaustion

I pick up Nico who was still hysterically crying but slowly getting quieter and I kiss his head and Frank and I head inside

Jerome and Leo look up from the couch and Leo walked up to me but I shake my head and he looks at his best friend in my arms and sighs quietly and goes back to Jerome who pulls him close to him

I head upstairs and go in Nico room and put him on the bed and he let's go of me and curls in a ball finally quiet

"Do you need anything?" I ask not sure what to do but want to do something

I don't get a response so I just sit next to him rubbing his back and I listen to his shaky breaths that became steady letting me know he was asleep

"I'm sorry, I know that means nothing at the moment but I am." I whisper and get hit back with sound of sleeping Nico

"I tried to save her. I really did, she ran first...I grabbed her hand and pulled her back and went myself. I wanted to protect you and her, but she's fast and ended up saving both of us..." I whisper as tears fill my eyes

I hear nothing but silence and I take a shaky breath

"I shouldn't be crying, she not my sister and I barely knew her but I cared about her and if I had been smarter I could have protected you both....it should have been me." I whisper and it's quiet again

Suddenly cold fingers wrap around my wrist

"No..." I hear and look down and Nico eyes are barely open and his voice was rough

"Nico go back to sleep.." I whisper softly and he holds my hand tighter

"I can't lose you too..." I hear him say before he drifted back to sleeping

I sigh quietly, he most likely won't remember that but atleast he hasn't lost it completely

I get up and pull the blanket over him and head back down stairs and see Frank and he looked lost

"I don't know what to do...but what's scary is she was fighting against me...she was going to do the same thing...is she gonna hate me after this....knowing I stopped her from saving her sister?" He asks me quietly and I sigh

"I don't think she'll hate you Frank just give her time, she seems like she needs you more then ever..." I say and he nods and looks at me

"How are you feeling?" He asks and I shake my head
