Summer POV:
Raven: "Summer, I-It's been a while, I'm sorry...."
To say I was surprised that Raven was at the door would be an understatement. None of us has seen her ever since she left, and that was when Yang was just a few months old. The woman in front of me is the same one who left without notice, leaving Tai heartbroken. It took me months to cheer him up, and the announcement of my pregnancy with Ruby made him anxious as he feared I'll leave him as well once she was born. Even after her birth, it took me six months to calm him down. So, to say I was mad at her is an understatement.
Summer: "Raven." I said with some venom, scaring her from my tone of voice.
Raven: "L-Look I... I don't know what to say. I heard what happened to Tai just a week ago and.... I wanted to at least see him one last time...." She silently said, barely enough for me to hear.
Summer: "Now you care?! He died a year ago! Let alone the fact that you left Yang, your own daughter, when she was only a few months old! Do you have any idea how much damage you gave Tai and Yang?!" I yelled at her.
Raven: "..." She had nothing to say. She looked down in shame knowing what she did was terrible.
Summer: "Was your tribe of Amazons that important? So important that you left your own daughter without her mother?!"
Raven: "I had no choice...." She whispered.
Summer: "What was that? I couldn't hear you over your ego!"
Raven: "I said I had no choice!" She yelled, some tears in her eyes.
Summer: "Bullshit! You ran away in the middle of the night to your tribe, leaving Tai without anything to say where you went!"
Raven: "Because I didn't want to bring him or Yang to my war!" She said, her voice breaking. I was taken aback by what she said.
Summer: "What do you mean? War?" I asked her in confusion.
Raven: "Please... can I at least come inside? I will tell you everything, I promise." I sighed. I knew the kids were playing in the backyard, and that they are safe, so I allowed her to come in. We sat next to the table, as the silence was loud. I made her some tea to help her relax, and to show some hospitality. She nodded to me with a quiet thanks before taking a gentle sip from the drink.
Summer: "What did you mean when you said war? There wasn't a war in decades."
Raven: "It was a civil war in my tribe. After my mother passed, Neither I nor Qrow were there to lead the tribe. My mother trained someone else to take the lead when she passed, but that didn't last long. Some of the women there began saying that the tribe isn't like it should be. They werre blood thirsty and were planning to take over the area, and declare them a new nation where man were nothing but slaves. Others told them that it's a bad idea, and that men are numbered, making them important to be kept well and alive. All was well for a week before the new amazon rebels decided to take action and assassinate the new chieftess as well as her husband and daughter. After that the war broke out. Someone from the tribe reached out to me and begged me to help, but she also mentioned how the rebels also plan to go after Qrow and I, as well as our family. I couldn't let Tai and Yang be a part of this war, and I dodn;t want them to be in danger, so I ran away to the tribe to fight with them. Qrow stayed behind to be the last defense for this family while I fought for years against the rebels. We won the war last month, and we decided to relocate nearby. That's when i heard about what happened to Tai." She said, looking down with some tears falling from her face.
