The day was long so very long, it was making me want to "Hey Y/N" I was pulled from my thoughts "Hey Chrissy how are you?" She smiled "I'm doing good. You work here?" I nodded "Sadly, hows everything with Jason" She smiled "Good, really good" I nodded "Well I'm happy for you both. So what can I get you?" She thought for a moment "Can I get a strawberry with some waffle cone crushed into it?" I nodded "Sure thing" As I was scooping I felt eyes on me, I turned catching Robin staring at me, she quickly looked away going back to cleaning.
I smiled to myself finishing up the ice cream "Thanks Y/N have a good summer" I waved her goodbye cleaning up my station. Two more guest came in ordaining their ice cream, I handed it to them "Have a nice day" I closed my eyes for a second "HI" I opened my eyes "Your back" Dustin smiled "Yup, got back yesterday" I smiled "How was it?" He giggled "Awesome. I met this girl Susie" I nodded "Ya, is she cute?" He nodded "Hotter than Phoebe Kate" I laughed "HENDERSON" Steve started jumping "HENDERSON!!! HES BACK" Steve jumped again "HES BACK, HES BACK"
Dustin smiled "I'm back. YOU got the job" He nodded "I GOT THE JOB" He made a trumpet noise with his mouth, I looked over at Robin in pure shock "How many children are you friends with?" He looked over at Robin not saying anything
While they talked I spoke with Robin. We joked about random things, "So when did you and Eddie Munson become friends?" I shrugged "I guess last year. I met him at a party, then I guess we just hit it off and now here we are" She nodded making herself a shake, "You two would be a cute couple" I laughed loudly "Good one Robin" She laughed along with me "I'm serious, you two would be cute"
I shook my head "I love Eddie I really do but he's not my type" She smirked "Whats your type then?" I smiled "Blue eyes, and shoulder length brown hair" She nodded totally not getting the hint "I'll keep that in mind" I watched Dustin and Steve walk to the back "Where you two going?" Steve motioned for me to come in the back with them, I shrugged looking at Robin walking to the back with them
"I found something listen to this" Dustin played a tape of people speaking Russian, "Why do you have this?" Steve grabbed a banana "I found it yesterday after stetting up this radio tower to talk to my girlfriend" I nodded "Okay. So how does this involve us?" He played the tape again "Because I think they're trying to take over the US" I scoffed "Dude they wouldn't even try" He shook his head "They might. Now help me translate" I rolled my eyes walking over to the white border erasing all the tallies against Steve.
We stayed working on it for an hour, not getting anywhere "Dude how many bananas have you eaten?" Steve looked down opening another one "I don't know" Dustin played the tape again "So what do you think" I bit my nail "It sounded familiar" Steve nodded "Ya the music. The music at the very end" He shook his head "Why are you guys listening to the music. We're translating Russian listen to the Russian" I sighed "I'm trying but there's music play-" Robin burst through the door "All right baby sitting time is over, you need to get in there" she walked towards her board turning around "Hey my board that was important data shitbirds"
I conceled my laugh "I guarantee you, that what we're doing is more important than your data" She walked towards us "Ya? And how do you know these Russians are up to know good anyways?" I looked at the guys "How does she know about the Russians?" Steve shrugged "I don't know" Dustin turned to me "Did you tel her about the Russians?" I shook my head "Why would I tell her about the Russians?" She scoffed
"Hello I can hear you. Actually I can hear everything. You three are extremely loud. You think you have evil Russians plotting against our country on tape, and you're trying to translate. But you haven't figured out a single word. Because you haven't realized that the Russians use an entirely different alphabet than we do. Sound about right?" We didn't say anything looking at her, just as she was about to grab the tape I grabbed it first
"Yooo, what do you think your doing?" She smiled "I want to hear it" The three of us asked why at the same time "Because maybe I can help. I'm fluent in four languages you know" I leaned back in my chair "Russian?" She looked at me "Ou-yay are-yay umm-day" We all laughed "Fuck ya" She smirked "That was pig latin dingus" Steve slapped me with his banana peel "Idiot" I went to hit him back
"But I do speak Spanish, And French, and Italian, and I was in marching band for 12 years. My ears are little geniuses trust me" I shook my head "Come on it's your turn to sling ice cream and my turn to translate. I don't even want credit, I'm just so underlay bored" I stood up taking the scooper "Harrington come on" We walked out putting on the stupid hats
