Lonely Boy (Little Kai)

Little: Kai (Age - 3)

Caregiver: Soobin

Soobin POV

"Ok thanks man."

"You're welcome.", Jake replied, "Tell me when you find him okay? We'll keep a look out."

"Of course! Call you back soon."

I am FREAKING OUT right now. I am supposed to be in caregiver! How could I let this happen!

Currently I was calling everyone I knew at HYBE and asking if they've seen Hueningkai. Why? Well, a few hours ago we got into an argument and he stormed out. All the members have been trying to call and text him, but no answer. What are we supposed to do!

"Soobin just take a deep breath.", Yeonjun said.

"Yeonjun hyung with all do respect, nothing can calm me down right now."

"How about we drive to the studio and see if Kai is there?"

I nodded in agreement and the four of us left the house and got into Yeonjun's car. I couldn't help but think the worst, where could he be?

Hueningkai POV

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Binnie really thinks I'm stupid?

But I'm a smart boy! Noona always says I'm smart! But Binnie doesn't think so.

I left the house and decided to walk the 1.5 miles to the practice studio, where I could be alone. Nobody could be mean to me here. No bad names.

Binnie tried to call my phone, but I don't answer! No one really wants to talk to a stupid child...right?

3rd Person POV

Kai sat in the corner of the practice studio with the bunny plushie he took with him. The words Soobin had said really upset him.

"You're just a stupid child!"

"Get it right for once will you!"

"Sometimes you need to stop acting like a baby and grow up Kai!"

The maknae couldn't understand why he would say those things. All he did was make a mistake while helping Soobin cook. It wasn't that bad. Maybe he was just angry.

But Kai didn't see it that way. The yelling made him slip, and without Soobin noticing because he was too angry cleaning up, Kai left the house.

It had now been three hours and he was alone, in littlespace, curled up in a corner by himself.

"Ningning not baby...", he sobbed, "he big boy. Binnie mean..."

After a few minutes, there was a knock on the practice studio door.

"Go away! Ningning no want talk!", he yelled.

On the other side of the door, Soobin mentally cursed himself. Kai calling himself Ningning in third person means he slipped.

"Baby please, can I come in?", Taehyun yelled.

"No! You be mean to Ningning too!"

Taehyun looked at Soobin.

"Hyung what did you say to him?"

"Something I shouldn't have."

Soobin opened the unlocked door and stepped inside, leaving the others in the hallway.

"Ningning? Where are you?"

"GO AWAY!"

Soobin's attention was directed to the corner he heard the sound come from. He stepped a little closer.

"Sweetheart I am very sorry. I didn't mean to upset you."

"You call me bad names! You say Ningning baby!"

Soobin sighed and looked down at the floor.

"Baby I regret saying that. You are my little big boy, and I should remember that."

Kai looked up and sniffled, rubbing his eye with the ear of the bunny.

"I shouldn't have called you stupid. I was angry and took my frustration out on you unwarranted. Can you forgive Binnie?"

Kai stared at him for a second before jumping up and running to him. Soobin engulfed him in a huge hug. He heard quiet sobbing and patted the maknaes back.

"Im sorry baby. I won't say mean things again."

The other members came in and joined in the hug. They let little Kai stop crying before they agreed to go back home and watch cartoons together.

From then on, whenever Soobin got angry, he remembered that day, and thought about what he said.
