~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heavy and shaky gasps escaped it's mouth, tears flowing down it's cheeks. Blood dripped from its arms, chunks of flesh bitten out. It deserved this. It should've known that. So why did this feeling hurt so much? It clawed at its chest, gasping louder as it's breath quickened. Eyes shaking, it crawled it it's split beds, grasping onto the sheets for dear life. Agony swarmed in its body, mind racing and voices panicking.
The voices panicked, swarming to Owen for help, crying out and explaining that Krow wasn't well.
Owens POV
I suddenly heard more voices in my head than normal, which I can only assume wasn't good. I heard wails and panicked yelling, urgency swelling in my mind.
"Owen? Owen are you alright?" I heard magic ask, worry laced in her voice.
"Yeah, yeah I'm alright. I think some of Krow's voices just came to me..they seem distressed. Should we check on, yknow, Krow?" I muttered, my eyebrows furrowing as panic slowly seeped into my body.
"Sh- I mean- Crap, yeah. If Krow's voices are here then it's gotta be urgent! Cmon!" Magic yelped, sprinting towards the demon's residence.
I quickly followed, taking a deep breath as we approached. I stepped up to the door, but stopped when I heard sobbing from inside. I quickly pushed the door open, Magic following me into Krow's home. At a quick glance, you'd see nothing, but at a closer glance, I noticed blood on the floor. It stained the sinks and reeked in the heavy air.
Turning the corner, I let out a quiet gasp. Laying on the bed was a distraught Krow, bloody and broken. It's  body violently lurched as it sobbed. Magic rushed over, quickly pulling it up and checking it's condition.
"Owen, bandages, NOW." She hissed, wincing as she looked at the ripped skin.
I nodded quickly, rushing out towards my house. Opening a cabinet, I snagged some bandages and health potions before darting back towards Krow's house.
Dropping the supplies next to Magic, she quickly got to work. Carefully and cautiously she wrapped it's chest and arms. By this point Krow had passed out from pain and exhaustion. Once it was wrapped up, Magic went to the sink to wash some bloody rags.
I slowly walked towards the injured demon, examining it's body. I sighed, ruffling the younger's hair, mentally scowling at the fact we didn't notice sooner. I lifted it up, setting it on my lap as I hummed it's favorite tune. Krow shuffled a bit, leaning into me as it left out a sigh of relief and comfort.
"Krow, if I may ask, what happened?" I asked softly, brushing my hands through its hair.
"I.." It hesitated. "I saw my father. In my dreams. He- He told me I was weak and becoming brainwashed by you guys. He said I would never be good enough. And he's right. I know I'll never be good enough but I just-"
"Hush. Krow, you are not weak. In fact, you are one of our strongest members. From what I've just heard, he's the one brainwashing you. You are amazing, and that'll never change." I hushed it, my voice firm but kind.
Krow just stared at me, unmoving. Suddenly, it latched onto me, sobbing into my shoulder. I hugged it back, smiling and hushing it gently.
"He's right, Krow. You are a wonderful friend and a powerful fighter. In here, you'll never be shamed for who and what you are." Magic smiled, glancing over at the two.
Krow sniffled, gripping onto me like it was about to die. I didn't let go either, holding it closely as I began to hum again.
"Im sorry you had to see me like..." It paused, looking away hesitantly.
"Like??" I asked, smiling gently.
"Like that. I hate it..hate seeming so weak and vulnerable." It growled.
"Krow. It's fine. I don't mind. I know damn well magic doesn't mind. Pain doesn't mean weakness, so don't let anyone convince you otherwise." I sighed as magic walked back in,
Krow stared at me for a moment, processing what I said.
"Thank you..dad." Krow muttered, laying back down against me.
I smiled, ruffling his hair before lifting it up. Krow yelped, gripping onto me. I laughed, waving goodbye to magic as I carried it to the bonfire for some dinner with the rest of the clearing. Another addition, another child.
