Everyone suspected a day would come when the world's population finally killed what was left of mother nature. No one heard the angry cries of the Earth. No one listened to her pleas.
And then it happened.
People on Earth called it The Collapse. Many centuries had passed since that day but the humans on Earth still felt the shattering effects. Entire land masses shriveled. Over half the human population perished. Animals fared no better. Technology disappeared along with humanity.
The Dexon Corporation helped the human race rise from the ashes, from the fires the humans had created all on their own. The Dexon Corporation had planned for this day since the beginning, since humans started using nuclear power, since they began cutting trees in the millions.
The Dexon Corporation had the manpower and the answers to save the humans and all left living readily complied to the companies wishes to save their own skins. They flocked to the Dexon Corporation in masses, filling the pre-made homes and safe domes that protected people against the harsh outside world.
Dexon revealed that they were able to mix a humans DNA with that of another creature/substance to transform them into something new. Something that could live in space.
When the humans who would ultimately be the subjects of these DNA tests didn't seem completely against the idea, Dexon made another reveal.
This time it was a planet, methodically named EC-1 in a different galaxy altogether. Its gravity was much different from Earths, allowing rocky masses to float without falling. It was smaller, more mountainous. And while the air was thinner, Dexon believed that a version of humanity could survive on its surface.
And thus the first tests began.
The Avemlum were created, centered around Aves DNA, birds. These new humanoid species grew thick wings that were unable to be retracted and a large set of lungs. Feathers lined their backs and arms, and mixed to become what would be considered hair.
As the new Avemlums were transported to EC-1. A discovery was made by the humans left on Earth. The Dexon Corporations little secret was cyborgs. They had been making them or more so upgrading humans within their staff for many years. With other humans now close by, it was hard to hide the mechanical voices and need for charge.
Though humans were weary of the "robots" as they called them, they wanted to survive and accepted that they were being commanded by something much less human than themselves.
When the Avemlum settled, the humans noticed how quickly the Dexon Corporations resources were depleting and thus another expedition was conducted.
ED-2 and ED-3. Both found in the same galaxy as EC-1, The Falling Galaxy.
ED-2 was a barren, rocky land. It was flat and unforgiving and thus the creatures placed there had to be too. It was the first time and the last time The Dexon Corporation would attempt combining human DNA with the DNA of an inanimate object. Using the DNA found in rocks had caused the humanoids to have no need for food but had also changed their genetic structure entirely. You could barely tell the rocky creatures, the Petram, were human if it wasn't for the humanoid form they kept. They were the smallest population of the new species. The corporation didn't find it worth it to subject more humans to the procedure.
ED-3 was the closest to Earth the corporation had found. It was relatively the same size. It had lots of tall trees, though they were skinny compared to what a tree of that height would need to be to stay standing on Earth. The planet had two seasons. Almost all year round it was warm and humid but for a few sort weeks it was extremely cold as another completely barren planet blocked its view from the sun. The planet was leafy and green and full of magnificent plants and creatures.
The creature placed here was called the Insectlas. The humans DNA was mixed with flying insect species from Earth, the most likely creature to survive on such a planet. The Insectlas were the largest population of the new species.
The Dexon Corporation had hoped that three planets would be enough to sustain the human race, allowing the rest of the humans to stay on Earth but they were incorrect. Another expedition was planned, this time to another galaxy.
The Comet Galaxy, named after the dense comets constantly crossing across the space. The first planet they came upon, EE-4, was a perfect match for what would be considered a Savanah Biome. Although lions had been wiped off the face of the Earth, the DNA had been presured and thus the Leoram found their way to existance.
Although this would be the Dexon Corporations first big mistake.
High King Dexon VII, the leader of the corporation, was quickly challenged by the Leoram species and then cut off completely, two sides forming a galactic war.
A galactic war that would last ages.

Welcome all! New story set in space. This will be SciFi Romance in genre
The updates might not be very frequent, it's more of side story but I wanted to put it out there since I have a few chapters pre written nowPlease refer to the guide at the beginning of the book on names of the planets. I tried to keep it realistic so the planet names might get confusing since they are so much the same
