It was now 5:50 pm.

School had ended hours ago and Y/n had been roaming the hallway — well, was forced to actually.

Stacy Adams, a bitchy ginger headed girl, had purposely let Y/n slip from her grasp as Y/n was set to go up.

How Y/n knew that the bitch purposely let her fall? Cause Y/n felt the bitches hand loosen from under her and saw a glimpse of Stacy's body move aside as Y/n's body tumbled to the ground.

It became a whole scene as Y/n's high blood arisen — Chrissy noticed and before a fight could break out and Y/n could break any noses — Chrissy had immediately sent her away to cool down.

Now here Y/n was, anger dissipated, heading back towards the gym as she realized she would have to perform soon.

Y/n did try easing her anxiety with some words of encouragement, "Just show some school spirit and you'll be good! The night will be over before you even know it, Y/n."

"Just try not to intentionally trip Stacy Adams and hope she twist an ankle, or even better — breaks one. Chrissy would — she would kill you and then praise you for it later."

"Henderson?"

Y/n flinched as she heard a familiar voice — sounding like Steve Harrington. Her brothers best friend/ her other other other best friend — honestly she has a lot of best friends but this best friend of hers is also the guy she still unfortunately held deep feelings for.

"Y/n? Is it really you?"

The familiar voice seemed to snap Y/n out of her spieling mind as she feels her eyes glimmer with joy as she turned to look at where she heard his voice.

She missed him. She missed his voice even more.

The two had went their separate ways since Steve had graduated — not by choice, obviously.
She hated it with an absolute passion.

She missed seeing the older boy in the halls, seeing him wait for her after her classes, seeing him anywhere.

But, it's not like the boy made much effort. Every time she'd try and call him, she'd get nothing. Every time she'd talk to Robyn, ask about the boy — she'd get a rambling Robyn who'd completely go off topic before finally answering her question with a disappointing answer.

She wondered if Steve just got bored of her, found someone better than her — or, possibly got back with Nancy Wheeler, which she wouldn't even be surprised by but would hurt her nonetheless.

She just felt left in the dark by the boy, she wanted their friendship back. Wanted him back.

But she wanted answers, too.

"Harrington!" Y/n excitedly hollered, eyes lighting up as she slightly jogged her way towards the boy.

"Sweets!" Steve yelled, a big toothy-smile spreading across his face.

"It's been so long, I miss you." Steve murmured, engulfing Y/n in a bear hug — picking her up off the ground and twirling her around.

Y/n giggled, her face dusting a shade of pink.

She giggled.

That's something only Steve Harrington could get out of her.

"I miss you, too." More than you even realize, you jerk. Y/n told Steve, still holding onto him. Keeping her thought to herself.

"Ahem." Y/n flinched slightly at the unexpected person in their presence.

Steve immediately put Y/n down, a small frown on his face.
