Angel didn't expect to find herself staring at her old apartment. Standing outside the building as it was waiting for her to come back.
She let out a sigh as she walked inside the familiar place, she can't help but be reminded of the last time that she was there.
The yelling seemed to have bounced back through the walls. The tears that stained the carpet and the pillows thrown on the floor. It was heartbreaking to see.
Sighing she walked in and picked up the pillows and placed them on the couch. She hummed as she walked further inside the apartment.
Her eyes wandering around, not really trusting herself to look further into the place and just wanted to go to the bedroom where she wanted to crash and sleep.
But maybe she was wrong, because when she ended up in the bedroom, it was as if the wind was knocked out of her. All the memories played in her head, those she buried in her head seemed to have resurfaced.
She sighed and walked in despite the dropping in her stomach. She suddenly remembered what happened right after that last argument. It was like an old wound that was stabbed opened all over again.
Angel let out a sob as she looked up but when she did, she didn't expect no one there. She didn't expect Quackity to actually walk out. She didn't expect him to go away that easily.
"Q? Quackity?" she called out as she stood up. Looking around to see whether or not he was there. But the cold breeze greeted her, the sound of the rain was not significantly louder.
Walking to the now open door of their apartment, she was greeted by the hallway where the cold winds of the rain nipped on her skin.
"Q?" she cried out as she looked around. But in both ways of the hallway, there was no sight of him. And that broke her in a way she knew she would never get over from.
The clamor of thunder made her jump, breaking her from her trance of reminiscing the past.
She let out a breath and shook her head, she knew she can't continue remembering if she wanted a good night sleep. But deep in her heart she knew, she wouldn't even get to close her eyes at the haunting memories that floated above her head. Not at this point anyway.
