"Hey!" A voice calls out. "(L/N), wake up!"

My eyes flutter open to an empty bus besides me and Uraraka. I rub my eyes as I take my headphones off.

"We're at the battle center," Uraraka says taking my phone and headphones to run to the back and put them with my stuff then coming back to grab my hand and run off the bus into the crowd of people.

Pushing to the front of the crowd we find ourselves at giant gates - maybe bigger than some of the buildings in the city.

I ball my fists up as the nerves start to get to me. "Y'know, I wasn't nervous coming into this thing, but now - I'm not too sure."

Uraraka looks at the gates for a moment before taking a deep breath and turning towards me. "I can show you one of my breathing techniques, being nervous will make your performance worse than you think it already is."

"I never said I thought my performance was bad.."

Uraraka has me even my breathing with hers as she begins counting every now and then tapping her chest.

Eventually it ends with me in a coughing fit. "Why do you breath so slow, Uraraka?"

"Right! Let's start!" Present Mic stands on a wall behind us. "There are no countdowns in real battles! Runrunrunrunrun listeners! You're wasting airtime here!"

The gates open to reveal a fake city UA made for the exam.  I run in besides Uraraka. "Okay! Stay together or split? I don't wanna fight with you over some robots!" She yells to me over the sound of everyone running.

"That's literary what we're supposed to do!" I turn left down a road before she gets the change to respond.

Activating my quirk, two marionette controllers appear in front of me which I grab as a 1pt robot comes around a corner heading for me. The robot raises one of it's arms and punches a building, sending rubble towards me.

I cover my face as the rubble flies over me, a few pieces grazing my scalp.

"Ow! Damnit!"

Using all four strings on my right controller I pick up four bricks, bringing them close together. Using my left I wrap all four strings around the robots left arm causing it to go limp while the rest of it's body tries to pull away, trying to break the string.

I pull on the controller, yanking the robot towards me before it can break the string. I swing the bricks towards it's face, breaking the glass.

The light on it's face flickers and goes out as it falls to the ground. I run around it and turn the corner it came from, going deeper into the city.

My brain's going a million miles an hour. 'As the robot's difficulty gets higher they'll get bigger and heavier, my strings won't be strong enough to pull on them.' I mentally yell at myself.

Up the road another 1pt heads my way. This time I use both controllers, wrapping eight strings around one of it's arm and slamming it into a building to save time. Once I notice the red light has gone out I begin running again.

Present Mic's voice rings out over the center. "Six minutes and two seconds remaining!"

Up at an intersection I find 1pt and 2pt robots destroyed, but the red lights on their faces are still on.

After second of hesitation I wrap four strings around a 1pt on my right and four strings around a 2pts on my left.

"Shit, I really hope I'm focusing on the right thing."

I pull on both of them, pulling harder on the 2pts until eventually slamming them together, and the red lights flicker and fade out.

I retract my stings and make my way over to the next two robots laying on the ground.
