Persistent as Ever

Few days have passed and it's almost weekend already. It's Friday and everyone is excited to spend the weekend free.

These past few days have been so exhausting. I took a seat at our usual lunch table in the cafeteria.

"Hey Chloie!" Before I even thought about it, my head whipped to the side at the sound of my name. It was Lexie.

"Hi there what's up?" I said and gave her a hug.

"Have you heard about Amanda's party tonight?" she said grinning, she knows me too well. I'm not a party goer like her.

"Why's that?" I asked her innocently.I look at my best friend with a serious look. I know she wont stop till she gets her way.

"Why?!" she whined. "Come on. We never go. It's only once..."

"Lexie, you know I hate these parties. The only thing that goes on at these parties is loud music, lots of alcohol and people passing out everywhere, vomiting all over and generally doing things that they'll regret in the morning, usually resulting in teen pregnancies."

"Please! you've never been there! It could be fun. Just once, for your best friend." she pleased giving me her puppy dog eyes. How can I say no to her? she's so persistent. I don't have a choice.

"Fine, I'll go just for this one okay? Is it clear?"

She clapped her hands in delight and threw her arms around me, pinning me in a bone crushing hug. "Thank you Chloie! You are the best friend ever."

****** Steven's POV

I'm staring at my ceiling remembering my first encounter with Chloie. Did she just tell me she likes me? I couldn't help but smile at that thought. She's really funny and I admit she's damn gorgeous. Her innocence made me like her a lot. I can't forget her smile. I have to admit she's really interesting. She's different from other girls I usually go out with especially with Lexie.

As I was leaving for school my phone rang.

"Hey Amanda what's up?" She'll probably invite me to her party. I know this girl wants me very much.

I heard a flirty laugh from the other line before she could speak."I'm throwing a party tonight so you should come babe."

"Sure I'll be there." then she hung up.

****** Chloie's POV

After school I managed to bond with Lexie over what to wear, though it was safe to say that she dressed up more than that I did. Her skirt covered over minimum and her huge stilettos only drew attention to that. I on the other hand, put on a red mid thigh strapless dress that emphasize my curvaceous body. My hair was in a soft curl that compliment with my dress.

We were taking selfies when we heard the honk from Nathan's car then we hurriedly headed downstairs. As we approached Nathan, his eyes immediately focused on Lexie. I can see the admiration in his eyes as he trailed his hands in Lexie's bare shoulder.

"Get a room guys." I interrupted and immediately get inside the back seat.
