Jess couldn't say they were surprised to find Odessa, Ezra and Thalia in their apartment.

If the ruckus they were all making in there wasn't telling enough, Ezra had texted a warning about it beforehand.

So, Jess had stopped to get some snacks before heading back. And the bags of goodies were more than well received by the group.

"Im going to be putting my vote in for a musical, and I will take nothing else." Thalia announced, taking a bite out of a Twix candy bar.

"Les Mis!" Odessa suggested loudly from the kitchenette, where she was pouring fresh popcorn into bowl.

"I'll watch whatever." Ezra shrugged. "No partialities here."

"We can only watch Les Mis if we can all collectively agree that Russel Crow is absolutely shit in this." Jess said.

A chorus of agreement sounded from Thalia and Odessa, with Ezra's confused chiming mixed in. Eventually, the movie was poised to start and the four of them piled onto the small couch, practically in each other's laps.

"Someone's going to have to sit on the floor." Jess sighed.

"I feel like the person taking up the most room should be evicted. And seeing as Ezra has the longest legs-" Thalia trailed off, looking between Ezra and the shabbily carpeted floor.

He huffed. "Fine. As long as I can take a pillow with me."

Odessa tossed him a pillow and Jess handed over some consolation candy for the trouble. Ezra leaned his back against the base of the couch and tried to get comfortable as the film started.

And though he wasn't a musical kind of guy, he found himself fully invested in the plot.

"This is ridiculous." He grumbled as the ending chords of 'On My Own' faded out. "Éponine and Marius make more sense together than Marius and Cosette ever could."

The others looked down at him with surprised laughter.

"What? It's true." He exclaimed.

"No, no. You're absolutely right." Jess assured, exchanging humored glances with the girls.

As invested as Ezra found himself, he was certainly not prepared for the impressive vocals his three friends delivered during the lengthier songs. Accompanied, by full body acting, dancing around the room, dramatic flailing and the occasional throwing of popcorn.

He couldn't help but wonder who would be responsible for cleaning all that up.

"Hold on, pause it!" Odessa said, just before her favorite song of the musical 'One Day More' was set to play.

"Oh god, Des. No!" Thalias groaned with a laugh. "You don't need to get your props for this."

"It's important Lia!" Odessa spoke as she stood, taking Ezra's hand. "Come on you can help me find it."
