Lee Sungmin watched the rain splatter against the window of the bus he was taking back to Seoul. He had finally been discharged from his military service after serving two years, and he was ready to get back normality; well, in all honesty, things would never be fully normal again. Two years prior, only months before his departure to military service, two things had happened that had affected his life significantly; he'd married an acquaintance named Kim Saeun, and Kyuhyun had announced his resignation from Super Junior through a letter he'd written and left for Sungmin. Even two years later, Sungmin still cried at the memory of his close friend leaving so abruptly. He missed Kyuhyun, and had thought of him every day for the past couple of years. Sungmin felt around in his pocket and pulled out a folded up piece of paper; it was the letter that Kyuhyun had left him, he'd kept with him and read it every day he was away in his military service. It was like the last piece of Kyuhyun that he wanted to treasure forever, and gave him the strength to keep going. Unfolding the paper, Sungmin read the words yet another time; he'd read it so many times that he knew the letter by memory, but still just wanted to see Kyuhyun's handwriting against the paper. ". . . please remember me . . . you were everything I wanted, and I'll always love you . . . you own my heart Lee Sungmin . . . I love you." Sungmin glanced at these specific phrases and smiled as he felt the tears start to develop behind his brown irises; but Sungmin quickly folded the paper and put it back in his pocket as the bus slowed down and came to a stop.

Sungmin knew that there would be no one there when he got off; his wife and friends were all booked up with work schedules, but at least this would give him some time to unwind by himself before he was bombarded by everyone. The raven haired Korean slipped his hat on and grabbed his bag before stepping off onto the platform at the bus stop. Rain still fell hard as Sungmin retrieved his phone from his other pocket, ready to dial a cab to come take him back to his home before he heard someone say "Sungmin."

Sungmin recognized that voice anywhere; turning to the side slowly, he saw Kyuhyun standing in the rain staring right at him. The raven haired Korean's heart pounded quickly as his body shook slightly and he hoped that he wasn't hallucinating or dreaming. "Kyuhyun?" he asked quietly.

          "Yeah, it's me," Kyuhyun confirmed.

After hearing those words, Sungmin dropped his bag and ran out into the rain and jumped into Kyuhyun's arms as he embraced his friend, holding him close as Kyuhyun wrapped his arms around Sungmin tightly. "It's really you," Sungmin whispered, burying his face in Kyuhyun's neck. Pulling back slightly, Sungmin asked "How'd you know I'd be here?"

"I've kept in touch with a couple of the guys and they told me when and where you were coming home from your military service. They also said they wouldn't be able to welcome you here, so I got a plane ticket and flew here to greet you myself," Kyuhyun explained. "I figured we could spend some time catching up before it became chaotic with the others."

"Yeah, I'd like that," Sungmin agreed before walking back to retrieve his bag again.

"C'mon, I rented a hotel room at the place just across the street," Kyuhyun informed as they quickly dashed across the road, getting drenched in rain in the process. Sungmin let Kyuhyun lead him upstairs to his room and open the door for him. Once inside, Sungmin dropped his bag again, took off his hat, and sat down on the bed as Kyuhyun sat in the chair opposite the room. "So I guess I've got some explaining to do, huh?" Kyuhyun asked.

"Why did you leave, why did you leave the group, why'd you leave me?" Sungmin wondered.

"Because like I said in the letter, I couldn't spend every day watching you be with someone else, and if I had stayed, I wouldn't have been myself, I would've been depressed, and the guys didn't need a member who was down all the time, so it was better for everyone," Kyuhyun explained.
