A Wave In The Climate

Chapter 4

      They got home, Christine parked at the front of the house. They came out of the car and walked in. Mosey felt at home again as she sat down lazily and heavily on the couch. Christine had disappeared into her room to go and change. When Mosey got to her own room, she brought out her phone and saw the time was 3:25 pm. "When did time become so fast?". "Dad will soon be back". She changed into a black sweatpant and a pink big shirt. She packed her hair into a messy bun . She decided to call Annie to know what's going on with her but she didn't pick up so Mosey decided to go downstairs and watch a little netflix.
       Christine came downstairs in a blue t-shirt and black leggings to join Mosey in her movie. 35 minutes later, a Knock was heard . " That mus be dad" Mosey mumbled and walked towards the door. The Hemsburth family, though they are rich, don't have many visitors except family friends who come rarely so it was easy in a way to know who it was. "Coming!" Mosey yelled from the sitting room. She opened the door and saw her dad. She collected his suitcase from him, he came inside and she closed the door. " Welcome dad". "Thanks Mosey". William walked into the sitting room and kissed Christine on the forehead. "Welcome sweety" Christine said. "Thanks honey", William replied.
Christine went to the kitchen to get food prepared while Mosey dropped her dad's suitcase where it normally stays and joined her mom. They were going to make mac n' cheese . While Christine was cooking, Mosey was setting the dinner table. Alas, food was ready on the table and Christine went to call William for dinner. As they all settled down to have dinner, Christine spoke. "Darling, how was work today?". "Well, it was regular", William said with a shrug. "Mosey, why don't you tell William about our fantastically boring adventure today?" Christine said. Both Mosey and Christine burst out in mad laughter. William looked at them both with a confused expression. "Dad, we, well, I went with mom to her company today and it was boring but fascinating at the same time". Mosey said between giggles. William shook his head as a little smile played on his face . " So that's what's making you two laugh like..." William gestured to them both and shook his head yet again. "Please let's continue eating" Christine said with a giggle. Mosey decided to speak yet again. "Let's all get an ice-cream sunday tomorrow".
William replied "I have told you times without number that ice-cream is bad for you, but for the sake of your beautiful mother, we will". William wiggled his thick eyebrows at Christine. Christine laughed and said"stop flattering me mister".
They all laughed and finished eating after sometime, they resigned to their beds. Mosey was so ready for Monday...
