033 — the exile.

"Darling.." Jungwon whispered, while placing his hand on my shoulder. I got up from the armchair, barely being able to stand on my own feet. I wasn't feeling well, I actually felt awful.
Jungwon handed me a bouquet of colorful chrysanthemums. I didn't focus on the fact that their colors were different, but on what Jungmi previously explained to me. It was a tradition to bring chrysanthemums to the funeral, and each color had its own meaning. Red - love, White - sympathy and remembrance.
It was dark outside. For quite a long section of the path, white lanterns were hanging on the branches of trees, showing us the way. I let Jungwon take my hand, and lead me through the forest.
I was wearing a black dress borrowed from Jungmi. I had no idea what to do in such a situation. Both clans were mourning and I knew they were angry, but I felt guilty about that.
When I saw Chae in tears, the feeling of fear and sadness intensified in me. My hands tightened on the flowers I was holding, and felt them tremble.
The girls from Taeyong's pack were dressed in the same dresses and clothes as usual, but all the wooden and colorful beads were gone from their wrists, ankles and hair. They had no ornaments, no makeup that always made them stand out so much. They were all crying.
However, in front of a freshly made grave, on which a large stone was erected, sat a black wolf with brownish highlights. He was hunched over, his eyes didn't seem to see what was around.
Taeyong.
"In the form of a wolf, some things are easier to endure." Jungwon whispered, and put his arm around me.
The funeral with the vampires was something I would rather not experience a second time. If you look at it from the side, it looks beautiful and you really do honor the deceased. Lanterns all around, beautiful chrysanthemums and a song that was sung by all the women of both groups. As soon as I heard its first sounds, I felt terrible chills.
