8: Girl Crush

Since things were starting to heat up in the show and he was busy with group activities, they stopped talking for a while to focus on their priorities. Not having the time to catch up with everything on the survival show, he didn't even know that they had another stage performance until Jangjun came running to show him the latest episode.

"HYUNG! HAVE YOU WATCHED NOONA'S LATEST PERFORMANCE? SHE LOOKS SO INSANELY COOL!"

"There was another one?"

"Yes! She was in one of the dance groups and she's the centre! You have to watch this!"

He shoved his phone in front of Sungyoon's face, eager to show him the video.

Upon seeing her, his jaw dropped. This was definitely a change from her usual adorable image that she showed him. She was wearing all black which made her stand out from the other trainees, highlighting her position in the centre. She looked... sexy.

"Why is she dressed so differently from everyone else?"

Although he was fully supportive of her, he disliked it when stylists dressed artists unfairly.

"You have to watch the episodes when you're free to find out. She gave away so many of her centre parts to the other members that it was hard to tell that she was the centre, so they had to make her stand out through her outfit."

Of course, she was once again showing what a selfless person she was. He expected nothing less of her. Hearing that, he smiled proudly.

Watching the performance, he was blown away by how good they were. This group was really the 'avengers' group, with all the members being strong contenders for debut. It was no surprise that they did well. The choreography was also amazing. He especially loved Eunbi's part. This heart stopped when she did that split and it made him proud to see the other trainees cheer for her. After finding out that she had choreographed her parts and that she had played a major role in rearranging their choreography due to her role as the leader, he was practically bursting with pride. He was smiling so much when she got the highest number of votes in their team that his cheeks hurt.

This was it. This was what he knew she was capable of. He was glad that she was finally doing well in the show and earning recognition from others. This would definitely serve as a huge boost to her, especially with the benefit votes.

That night, he lay in bed, rewatching her performance over and over. She looked so hot; he couldn't take his eyes off her even when the other members were in the centre. He groaned. So much for trying to get over her. He really liked this side of her, she suited this concept well with her gorgeous visuals. It was so different from the baby bunny he saw all the time which was mind-blowing. Who knew she had this in her? She was a versatile performer, that was for sure.

This was the first time he had ever been physically attracted to her and he didn't know what to think of it. He felt bad for being attracted to her simply because of her appearance. that was shallow and she deserved more than that. Furthermore, was he sexualising her? Being inexperienced with love, he didn't know, and he definitely wasn't going to ask Daeyeol or his dongsaengs.

He really needed to stop watching this video. It was becoming an obsession and it wasn't helping him in any way. Closing the video, he decided to send her another message to praise her for her good performance. Little did he know, this wasn't the end of girl crush Eunbi.

Ever since the previous episodes, he had been addicted to the song. On the first listen, he was already captured by the catchy tune and the beat. He couldn't imagine what it would be like to hear Eunbi's voice singing it, it would be the most amazing thing in the world.

Impatient for the next episode to air, he had begged her to sing a line from the chorus and she had sent him a voice recording. At this point, he had listened to it about fifty times even though it was just one line and her voice echoed in her head even when he wasn't listening to it. He was completely addicted to her voice.

Unlike the last time, he was waiting in anticipation for the episode to air so that he could watch her performance. She had gotten the leader and main vocal position and to say that he was proud was an understatement. She was really starting to go places on the show, and it made him happy to see her get her well-earned success.

He had called dibs on the television in advance so that he could watch it when it aired. Some of the other members gathered around with him to watch since they were also friends with Eunbi and wanted to see how she was doing.

It was completely beyond his expectations. Her vocals were amazing and so were her visuals. She had come back with another girl crush look and he was starting to prefer this over her baby bunny concept. Sure, she would always be his baby bunny but how could he say no to girl crush Eunbi? She slayed the performance along with the other trainees and he didn't stop smiling for a second while he watched.

"Sungyoon ah, you might want to close your mouth before a fly goes in." Daeyeol teased.

His cheeks burned. Seeing her dressed like this made him want to stand in front of the television and block everyone else from watching. How could someone look this attractive? She had been completely transformed.

Oh god... she had abs. He had never noticed it before, but it was hard not to notice now. He was aware that she was very athletically inclined and used to be in track and field like him, but he had never really noticed her muscles before since she liked to wear baggy clothing most of the time. Now, it was all he could notice even when she was displaying her amazing dance skills. Shit. He was in too deep, he needed to stop this before it got out of hand. The other members were going to find out if he wasn't careful and he didn't know what would happen then.
