Stephanie woke up to yelling downstairs and she sighed looking at her clock that reads 4:30AM. The girl's parents have been fighting at lot the past couple months but it's never this loud and early in the morning. The girl goes downstairs trying not to make a sound to see her mom and dad fighting, her mom who's in a dress with her makeup all messed up, and her dad who was in pajamas. Stephanie honestly didn't want to hear it so she went back to her room to see Mike standing in her room
"Hey" she whispers to him
"Sorry for coming in your room i just got anxious hearing them fight" Mike explains to her and she nods
"I get it" she says and sits on her while Mike sits in her painting chair
"Where were you last night" Mike asks and she blushes a bit remembering how amazing last night was
"um i-i, please don't be mad, but i was with Eddie" she says looking down
"I knew it, i'm not mad i'm happy you are making a friend" he says to her and she smiles at him
"How about we get ready right now and just leave early, we can go get food or something" She tells Mike he agrees and goes to his room to get ready.
Stephanie decided to look nice today considering she's going to be playing DnD with everyone later that day. She puts on her hellfire club t-shirt, some black shoes, and she does her makeup. The girl looks at herself and smiles actually liking how she looked today. She wondered if Eddie would like how she looked too, she hoped he would.
Meeting Mike in the hallway they walk downstairs to see their parents still arguing but not loud anymore.
"We are going to get some breakfast and then go to school early" Stephanie tells her parents but they completely ignored the girl making her sigh while she grabs her keys
The two siblings rock out to music on the way to the diner. They make it to the diner and find a seat, the same waitress was there from last night when she saw Stephanie she smiles and waved which Stephanie kindly returned
"So do you like Eddie" Mike asks his older sister
"um i think so" she says trying to hide her smile
"He likes you, he's never taken a girl to dinner or allowed them to sit with us" Mike explains to her making her smile even more at the thought Eddie might actually feel the same as she does.
The two order their breakfast, Stephanie got eggs, potato's and sourdough bread. Mike got waffles with bacon and eggs.
"How's El doing" She asks Mike
"She seems to be doing great from the letters she's sent me, and when we call she seems happy" He explains making his sister smile, Stephanie always loved El and it was so hard seeing them move to California but they had to.
"Thats great" She tells him the two become silent as the food was set down at the table, they start eating and talk about the DnD game tonight.
Stephanie and Mike make it to school a bit early, so they go separate ways. There's a pep rally today but Stephanie was not going, so she walked into the woods behind the school to a table she knew was there. She puts her headphones on and presses play on her walkman as she sits down at the table getting her sketch book out so she can get new ideas for her paintings.
Stephanie listened to a few songs while sketching something out on the paper until she felt a hand on her shoulder making her scream and take the headphones off. The girl turns around on the verge of tears until she sees Eddie. The girl lets out a sigh of relief and hugs him taking him for surprise but hugs her back.
