Our Goal

The overall concept of this ministry is to be a place where Christian specifically (but anyone really) can come to be encouraged and strengthened.

The name, "David Cave" comes from a Bible story, where David had fled from King Saul (for the first time) and entered a cave. While he was staying in that cave, it says that, "all those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their commander." (1 Samuel 22:2) Now this doesn't mean that you are gathering around me or any of the other team members. . . But we are all gathering around Jesus to be strengthened and built up.

The way that those who were struggling and suffering gathered around King David and rose to be an army in his service is a beautiful picture of the Church and Jesus Christ. Jesus wants those that are hurt, struggling, and dying to gather to Him, seeking His words and comfort. In doing so, He plans to bring life, raise them up in strength, and being healing.

But let's start with resting in the Cave together. Let us gather- with our anguish, our pain, our debt, our discontent- and see what He does here and now.
