MARK
I looked out my window and saw a moving truck. It was being unloaded so that definitely meant Paige wasn't moving this summer. But I was still getting a new neighbor. It's the boy with dark blue hair. He seems so shy. He seemed really busy so I just took Poseidon inside.
TWO WEEKS LATER
I didn't even notice Jenny's kid Sebastian follow me inside. So before I to Poseidon to the backyard I had to make sure his mom knew he was over. Jenny knew thankfully. I took them both outside to play monkey in the middle. It always tire them out.
I'm never in the middle because Sebastian can't throw higher than my chest.  So it's usually just Poseidon we make the monkey. Today is different. Poseidons worn out from his walk So I'm just playing catch with Sebastian. If only I'd knew Poseidon was digging a hole under our fence.
I didn't figure that out under after I heard the scream. "Was that Paige" Sebastian asked me "I don't think she could make such a girly noise" I said. So I picked him up and he looked over the fence. Poseidon was over there being held back by Paige with a hot dog hanging out of his mouth. The blue haired boy was in the grass cupping his bleeding knee.
"Hurst you idiot come get your dog." Paige holler. I dropped Sebastian and opened the gate. Paige gives Poseidon to Sebastian and tells us to. Scram. So typically Paige Warner. Then she took the food inside. "Take Poseidon inside and go home"
"Okay"
Finally that kid listened to me. I went over to help the Blue haired boy. He was bleeding pretty bad. He even looked ready to cry.
JAMES
I'm so embarrassed. Holding back tears has always been difficult for me. I saw the nieghbor walk over and he helped me into a chair and started. Checking out my knee. He's a total stud. Then the stud looked up at me with his brown sparkly eyes and said "I'm sorry about my dog h didn't even know he was digging a hole."
I can't find any words. Then I felt tears rolling down my face. The stud wiped them away and apologized right. Before my stupid cousin Paige walked out with paper towels, bandages, and spray.
I guess I can't call her stupid. She's the only one in our family that's shown any love for me in over a year. I barely know her anyway. The story is she got kicked out after she came out to her parents. I had no clue about this.
I'd been hiding in my sexuality for 7 years and decided I should tell My parents I'm asexual. First they called me an idiot. Then I explained. Then they said it was just a phase. And when My dad forced me to watch straight porn it ended with me crying and covering my face. That's when they just assumed I was gay and said that after I went away fro college I wasn't welcome back in their house ever again.
But at least they love me enough to give me my gay cousins address and phone number. That's how I ended up here. In a backyard with a bloody sliced knee.
"Get out of here Hurst." Hurst? The stud?
"I'm trying to help you you hillbilly lesbian!"
hillbilly lesbian? Paige told me she was a lipstick lesbian. like it matter since she's mega single. I giggled. Oops.
"Let him stay."
how did I say that? Surprisingly Paige left. Hurst takes the paper towels to dry my knee Then sprayed it. It stung. I yelped and grabbed his hand.
"You okay?"
"I'm good"
Paige came out with wet paper towels then ran right back inside. Never too stubborn to help the wounded. Hurst puts to band-aids over the slice in my skin and asks if I'm fine. You know how I respond to that? "I'm fine just a little shaken is all." I didn't know I was a 4 year old girl who's dad had tickled her too much. This whole time I thought I was a 20 year old man with blue hair. Huh. Then he walked me inside and ran back to his house.
I walked over to the couch and sat down. Paige walks in the room and starts yelling at me. I know she means well but I cry anyway. Paige calls me a crybaby and goes upstairs. She just leaves me lonely on the couch.
