I am so mad at my mom. I get that she's upset with me but making me move in with dad and his new family for the rest of the school year is pure evil. Especially since she knows his daughter, Madison and I don't get along.

"Hey rat, you forgot a box." Madison said as she walked into the room while I was getting lost in my thoughts. She threw the box on the bed. I rolled my eyes and ignored her. "You're welcome." She said with an annoyed tone. Then walked out of the room. I continued organizing the room and unpacking my things.

An hour later I got tired and went down stairs for some water. When I got down stairs I spotted my stepmom Shelly sitting at the table on her phone. "Hey Rachel, don't forget you start your new private school in 2 days. Make sure you have everything you need."
"Okay thanks, I will." I said as I got a bottle of water from the pantry.

I walked back up to my temporary room and started unboxing again. I hung up pictures I took with my friends, posters of my favorite artists, and some tapestrys I had. As I was doing that my dad, Dave walked into the room. "Hi kiddo, how are you holding up so far?" He asked with a concerned and empathetic tone. "I'm okay." I replied but didn't look at him. I just looked at my posters.
"You sure? Your mom told me you didn't wanna come. Which I get, New York is your home but with all that's been going on we think Hillsborough is the best place for you to be right now."
"It's not but whatever, you guys don't care about what I have to say anyway."
"Rache we do care, we will always care but you need to get better first. Your addiction is getting worse and you say you'll stop but you haven't."
I didn't reply. Those words made me wanna cry, I knew if i opened my mouth to say something I would start bursting out. I tried covering my face so he wouldn't see how watery my eyes got.
"I'm gonna let you finish unpacking, let me know if you need anything." He said right before he left and closed the door.

After he left I got on the bed, put my airpods in my ears and started crying. Crying and music are some of my ways of coping. I tried being as quiet as possible so no body would hear me. I eventually cried myself to sleep and woke up again at 9pm. I decided to go outside for some air.

When I got outside I saw a group of guys sitting on the porch next to our house. It wasn't that dark outside because of the street lights so I could kinda see their faces but I didn't wanna stare too much so i just looked at the sky instead.

"Yo Gio do you know who that girl is sitting on the bare ground at the house next to yours?" I peeled my eyes off my phone to see who Andrew was talking about. "No, I have no idea who she is." I said as I looked back down at my phone. I couldn't care less.

"Marcus do you know who she is?" Andrew asked. "Na man, but I know who lives there and that's not her." Marcus replied. "Who lives there?" "That one cheerleader I think her name is Madison something." "Isn't Madison blonde?" Andrew looked a little confused. "Yeah she is. The girl is probably just one of her relatives coming to visit or something." "Oh yeah you're pr-"

Before Andrew could finish his sentence I cut him off and said "You guys wanna go to Heathers?" "Heather Maning's?" Marcus looked at me with a surprised face and asked. "Yeah." I replied. "Hell yes man, she's so hot." "She's alright I guess, not really my type tho."
"Haven't you slept with her like twice?" Andrew added himself in the conversation.
"Yeah and? That's doesn't mean she's my type."
"HAH that's ma man!" Marcus said with a goofy smile.

I was sitting on the ground minding my own business trying to relax when the people at the other house started getting loud. It got kinda annoying so I decided to go back inside and eat.

When I got inside Dave was in the sunroom watching t.v. "Hey kiddo, where were you?" I got a feelings he just realized I wasn't even inside. "Just outside. I needed some fresh air."
"Oh okay." He said with a smile. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed some chips from the pantry. Shelly walked into the kitchen and looked concerned. "That's all you're gonna eat?" She asked. "Yeah, I'm not that hungry right now." I replied as I opened the bag of chips. "Are you sure? You haven't eaten anything since you got here." "Yeah I'm fine, thank you tho."

I went up to "my room" with the bag of chips and scrolled through tiktok while I ate them.
I finished about 30 minutes later and changed into my pajamas. I brushed my teeth and tried to go to sleep. But I couldn't. Every time I closed my eyes I saw her and that night. I put my keens to my chest and started crying again. God i miss her so much. I eventually gave up on trying to sleep and got up to open the window. It was getting kind of hot. When I went up to the window I saw a guy in the house next to ours. His window was right infront of mine. He was taking off his shirt to change. He has a nice body. He suddenly turned his head and looked at me and I realized how weird I was being so I ducked and crawled back to my bed so he wouldn't see me. Soon after I fell asleep.

As we were getting inside Andrews car I noticed the mystery girl going inside. I ignored it and sat shotgun. An hour after we got to Heathers I felt kinda tired so I decided to go home early. When I got home I went straight up to my room to change and go to sleep. I changed my pants and as I was taking my shirt off I heard something outside, I turned my head to look out the window and saw the girl from earlier looking at me through her window. Before I could do anything else she ducked and I think she was crawling because she didn't come back up. I ignored it because it's not the first time a girl has wanted to see me shirtless. I then threw my shirt in my closet and went to sleep.
