wyatt
as i drove this girl to my house, i realised how completely random this is. i hope she doesn't think i'm like a murderer or something.
i just couldn't help but think, if this was my sister, letitia, on the side of the road, i would hope someone would pick her up and take care of her.
not someone like thomas andrews. i'm so glad i saved this girl from him. i've heard stories of how he treats the women in town.
we drove down the final stretch before we reached my driveway, and out of the corner of my eye i glanced at her.
she was a gorgeous girl. she had long blonde curls, that made her look like a wild country girl, despite the fact that she was quite obviously a city girl. she wasn't wearing make up, but her eyelashes were long and thick. they made her green eyes stand out. she was short, and really quite a small girl. she toyed with the ring on her finger. her left, ring finger might i add. how come all the girls i stumble across are married, or psycho's.
"can you get the gate?" i asked her. she just looked at me, as if she didn't know what i meant. just as i was gonna get out and do it myself, she flung the door open and walked over to the gate.
such attitude in her walk, but she was still so intriguing to watch.
she pushed the gate open, and i drove through. she shut it behind me and we drove up to the house.
my dog, jack, came bolting out to the car when we pulled into the shed.
the girl quickly swung her door open and jumped out of my car. yeah, she was so short she had to jump out of my ute.
"oh hiiiii sweetie!" she said, bending down to pat him. she looked like she was going to melt.
"whats his name?" she looked up at me through her thick eyelashes. god, i nearly melted. she blinked a few times, waiting for me to respond.
"uh, jack" i muttered. i just stood there awkwardly, watching her pat and play with him.
"he's so adorable" she groaned. i had to turn around before i got a fucking boner. i havent felt this way about a girl in so long. i just met her. i don't even know her name and she has me getting hard over her playing with my dog.
okay that sounded weird.
"yeah, let's go inside" i said, grabbing her bag from the back and locking the ute.
"i can carry my own bag, you know" she said, but not in a smart ass way.
"my mother taught me to carry girls bags." i replied, and she giggled. fuck it was a heavenly sound.
"so you're funny, huh?" she asked.
"yeah, the funniest" i replied.
i unlocked the front door, and turned the lights on in the hallway.
ashlynn
i can't believe i'm setting foot in a strangers house. he was sweet though. not that i knew a lot about him. or his name for that matter. all i knew, was he is drop dead gorgeous. and he saved me from that other guy so.
his house was dark brick, and an old style house but modern on the inside. his property was neat, too. nice front entrance way, shed to the side of the house. quite organised, for a man.
he dropped my bag down in the left hallway, and walked into the lounge room. there was a fire place on one end, and the kitchen on the other.
"want a whiskey?" he asked, walking towards the fireplace.
"yeah, why not" i sighed, slumping onto the brown leather couch.
"wow, i didn't think you'd say yes. you look like you drink some fruity vodka drink or something" he chuckled, as he began placing logs in the fireplace. his laugh was enough to make me squirm.
"oh wow" i said mockingly.
"so tell me, what's your name and how did you end up on a road in the middle of new south wales?"
"oh my name is ashlynn. forgot about that part. anyway funny story, actually. my boyfriend and i were going to a wedding, in brisbane, and he decided it would be fun to drive up! we live in sydney by the way. anyway he wanted to go through central new south wales, so we were driving through here, then we got into a fight and i got out of the car. anyway, what's your name?"
"um it's wyatt but hold up, let's just unpack this. you got out of the car and he never came back?" he stood still waiting for my response
"yeah. there was more dick in his personality than his pants anyway, so i'm not really fazed." i sighed, slumping further into the couch.
wyatt chuckled slightly at my words. "what was the fight over anyway? must have been pretty serious for you to get out of the car"
"i asked if i was allowed to drink at the wedding."
"what and he wouldn't let you?" he asked as he handed me my whiskey.
"no, he never does."
"god, and you stuck around for that? you do not seem like the type of girl to tolerate that."
i can't believe he just said that. "yeah? so? it's none of your business anyway. you obviously don't know a lot about relationships." i rolled my eyes and finished my whiskey.
"whoa, moody much?"
"fuck off, where am i sleeping? i just wanna go home already." i was fuming. who was he to judge me on my relationship. i get that it was 't perfect but it's none of his business.
"sleep in my bed. it's the room at the end of the hall. i'll take the couch." he said, turning to lay across the couch.
"whatever." i grabbed my bag and stormed off down the hall. he's such a prick.
i opened the door at the end of the hall, and walked into his room. it was quite big. his bed was huge, and there was a glass door that led to a balcony.
all his bedding was black, and he only had one bedside table. his room was very neat, and his bathroom was clean too.
i set my bag down on the floor, washed my face and climbed into his bed. i literally sunk into the mattress straight away. it felt like i was on a cloud.
i rolled over facing away from the door and burries myself beneath his covers.
i kind of felt bad for how i spoke to him. wyatt, i meant.
wyatt. that's a sweet name.
i wonder what his last name is. probably something hot, like him.
oh my god, ashlynn. you just met him!
i need to forget about this. he's just some guy. i'll be leaving tomorrow anyway.
although, i've never felt so immediately comfortable around a guy before, not even jason.
whatever. theyre both dicks anyway.
