Darius' pov: I heard a sudden crack behind me. I turned around in surprise, looking to see what had made the noise. My attention was immediately caught by a mysterious figure standing nearby. He was wearing thick goggles and had a cracked javelin in his hand. I could tell he had been through a lot. The man approached me curiously, asking who I was and if I knew my way out. I explained that I didn't know the way and that my name was Darius. He then asked if I could take him to a clearing that I had seen down a nearby hallway.
