Part 2: The News...

Mike Wasowski POV:

Y/N hangs up the the phone and I rush to tell Sully. Me and Sully share a apartment together and have been living happily for about 3 years. I'm hoping he proposes soon but beggars can't be choosers! I enter the living room to see Sully smiling brightly on the couch.
"What's got you in such a good mood boo bear?" I say grinning. I can't wait to tell Sully the good news!
"Come over here babe." He pats the couch next to him. I sit next to him. I snuggle up and feel his soft blue fur against my green skin.
"Babey, I know you love Lightning McQueen just as much as I do, so I got us tickets to his super exclusive meet and greet! And his show of course!" He's looking directly at me with a sparkle in his eyes. I stare at him blankly.
"What?" I say in shock.
"I know you would be speechless. No need to thank me." He seems so proud of himself.
"Well that would be awesome if I didn't also get us tickets to Lightnings show and super exclusive meet and greet." I face palm. Sully kissed me.
"Aw babe, I guess we both just know each other so well that we both got each other the same gift!" He's looking at me with my face just inches away from his.
"And you can give your extra two tickets to Y/N! Now we can all go!" He kisses me again. There was no way I was gonna tell him I forgot to get him tickets and Y/N had to give up theirs. So I just kiss Sully and hope he doesn't ask any further questions. Now I don't even know if I can offer the tickets back to Y/N. And what are we gonna do with the extra ticket? All these questions cross my mind but I just try to ignore them and enjoy the moment with Sully.

-later that day-

It's time for me to tell Y/N the news, again. Maybe I should just text them? Or maybe I should call? Ugh text it is.
"Hey Y/N! So actually Sully also got us tickets to see Lightning McQueen! Isn't that crazy! Well anyway, we have two extra tickets so you can go! And you can even bring a date, unless your saving yourself for Lightning lol!" I send the text and expect for Y/N to reply quickly like they usually do but they don't. They are probably asleep like that said they where. Welp time to go watch movies with Sully!

Y/N POV:

I've been crying under the covers for a good couple of hours now. I just keep replaying the scenarios of me and Lighting over and over again in my head. Every time I imagine him kissing me I cry a little harder. If only his celebrity crush wasn't someone so perfect like Sally. Sally was his co-worker in the cars movies and supposedly his celebrity crush. I can't compete with her. And I especially can't compete when he hasn't even met me. I loudly sob into my pillow and decide to turn on some Lil Huddy music to sooth my nerves. I grab my phone to see I have one missed text from Mike. I unlock my phone and see it was from about an hour ago. I read the text and no longer feel like crying. What a rollercoaster of emotions Mike is putting me through. But I guess I will be seeing Lightning McQueen tomorrow after all! I'm so exited! I run over to my wardrobe and start picking out my outfit. I get my "I <3 Lightning McQueen" sweatshirt and my Lightning McQueen leggings. I can't forget the Lightning McQueen light up sneakers and Jojo bow. I lay it all out on my bed. It's perfect! I squeal and jump into my bed with it's Lightning McQueen sheets and pillows. I hug my Lightning McQueen body pillow and continue to squeal. I can't believe it! I get to meet him tomorrow! I can already imagine him kissing me in front of the crowd. All those jealous fans will lose their marbles! I check my phone again. Geez it's already 9:00pm! Way past my bedtime! I need to be fully rested if I'm gonna meet Lightning tomorrow. I snuggle up and turn of the lights and begin to dream about Lightning.
