"Good luck tonight" I said softly, approaching her locker

She turned around and closed her locker "You're girlfriends waiting" she said with hurt in her voice

I looked at Sarah and then back to her "She's not my girlfriend! I don't like her!" She hugged her books and looked down "Dylan please! I love you and I mean that with my whole heart! You know that!" I was desperate

She didn't say anything. I brought my hand up to touch her cheek, but she moved away from me "D-don't touch me" she whispered

"Tobyyyy" Sarah sung behind me. I sighed and rubbed my head. My lip started to quiver, I've never felt this vulnerable over a girl. It was making me frustrated and overwhelmed.

"Tobin!" I heard someone shout. I turned around and saw Caden "Are you fucking dumb? Get away from my fucking sister" he said coming and standing in front of her

"I'm l-leaving Caden. No harm done" I wiped my eyes and smiled weakly before walking away

Sarah walked up to me and tried to wrap her arm around mine, but I yanked it away "Sarah, leave me alone! I never wanted you in the first place! You ruined everything for me! I-I let you ruin everything! My life was great! I was in love until I let you come fuck it up! I'm an idiot." I said the last part softly. I didn't realize I drew a crowd until I turned around and saw the one girl that mattered to me

I busted out the doors outside, chest heaving and my eyes burned "Hey calm down" I heard. Their arms wrapped around me and held me up

"R-Radley it hurts" I cried out "I love her so much" I said

He shushed me and hugged me for awhile more "Give her time." He sighed "Some advice, if you want her back don't play that game tonight, go to that talent show and show her you want her back" he had a good point

"But what about my coach and my team?" I said

"Don't worry about them, I'll play" he said. When he saw my face he continued, "Don't worry little sis! Remember I used to play and I was better than you plus we look alike" he shrugged

"You weren't ever better than me" I chuckled feeling a lot better

"Most likely you'll play right wing and you have to play aggressive this game and number 20 is there best player he's supposed to be legit"

"Toby. Toby! Tobin!" He yelled over me to stop me from rambling

"S-sorry" I said

"Just go get your girl and then get back to this damn game" he said

I smiled "How do I look?" I asked

"Great" he said with a smile "now please go" he said pushing me down the hallway

I ran to the auditorium and to backstage "Where do you think you're going?" Hayden said stopping me from going on stage. I could see her getting ready from here. She looked nervous and shaky

"Hayden please. I'm here for her. I just want to make things right. I promised her I'd be here tonight" I begged him

"You're just like Skylar. You broke her heart. She's been sulking for days now you jerk" he said

"Hayden that's why I'm here! I'm not Skylar! I'm missing my biggest game of the season to show her how much I love her Hayds. Please" I begged even harder

He started at me for a second and groaned. He turned around and handed me a guitar "She's singing hallelujah, please save us all the embarrassment" he said "And Toby" I said turning around "Don't do it again" I nodded my head "Now go get your girl back please"
