Meredith pov:
"Addison we need to talk" I say looking down at her in my arms as we were laying in bed watching a movie while it was raining "Woah, that sentence scares me Mer. Wait are you breaking up with me? Mer I can't live without you I love you. Oh God what about Henry how am I gonna-" Addison had started crying "Hey, baby I'm promise I'm not breaking up with you I love you more than anything. All I was gonna say is I want to move out of this house I need a fresh start and I can't do it here" I said wiping her face dry and kissed her lips softly.

That was the conversation we had 3 weeks ago "Hello....Yes David.....I haven't made my decision yet because I haven't had a lot of time to process the fact you want me and my family to move to Minnesota......Dr Hamilton......goodbye" I had just hung up on David Hamilton after he was pressuring me about my decision to go to Minnesota for half the week or move permanently.

"Mer? What was that about?" Addison asked with a worried face "Nothing baby" I smiled fakely "Well it didn't sound like nothing and I know your faking" she said with some frustration "It's David he wants a decision about moving" I look down "Well I hope you were planning to talk to me first" she steps closer to me "Of course I was Adds" I say not looking into her eyes "Well?" She questioned "I haven't made a decision" I say "Well you sure as hell better-" "Momma" Ellis interrupted "Hey sweetheart" Addison says picking her up.

"I gotta go love you" I say picking up my bag and giving Addison and Ellis a kiss on the forehead. "Bye mommy love you" says Ellis "love you" Addison said.

Addison pov:
"What do you want for breakfast honey?" I ask Ellis "Waffles" she laughed "Ok go wake up your brothers and sister then get ready for school" I tell her putting her down. I dropped the kids off at school then headed to the hospital.

When I arrived Helm  was waiting in the lobby "Good morning Dr.Helm how can I help you?" I ask politely as we start walking into the hospital "Good morning Dr.Montgomery, Meredith asked me to give you this coffee and also there is a patient she needs help with in the icu, I'm also your intern for today" she updates and I can tell there is still some jealousy from her because of her 'crush' on my fiancé, but oh well Meredith is mine.

"That is Dr. Grey to you. I gonna go get my scrubs on then meet me in the icu" I say getting into the elevator "Oh um Dr. Montgomery , I'm sure that you've heard about Levi and I was wondering if you could talk to him because everyone has tried and he won't come back to work so please?" She asks "I have heard and I will try to talk to him just give me his address at some point today and I'll head over after  work" I tell her.

Meredith and I had to rush our patient to surgery where there was complication after complication and eventually she wasn't strong enough to continue the surgery for now so we decided to close her up and put her back into the ICU I was sitting on a bench outside her room with my hands covering mg eyes when Meredith walked up to me "Hey" she said "Blood pressure plummeting" as said putting my hand in the air and bringing it down quickly.

"Blood flow is not strong enough to profuse kidneys so she's not making urine anymore, I sent the residents out for labs and coffee, but really I sent them away so I wouldn't scream at anyone" I say looking down "Did you try bolus?" Meredith asks "Multiple, plus atropine. I maxed out on dopamine" I state "Epi?" She asks "Maybe. I don't know. I don't know, I just— I need this to work. Her husband's waiting to see her, and among other things it'd be really nice to give her some good news." I answer as Meredith sits beside me.

"The worst part about this job is telling the families that their person didn't make it. And you have that on some level, in every single case." Meredith says rubbing my back "Yeah" I nod "Unless this works, if this works maybe in a few years...I don't know. I don't know. I don't know" I whispered "I think it's why you mumble in your sleep." Mer chuckles "I do?" I laugh "Just a little bit, and I put my arm around you and it stops" she smiles. "No one's ever told me that before" I state.

"Hey" Meredith says as Miranda Bailey walks in "You're taking that job in Minnesota." Bailey deadpans "Couldn't even tell me yourself? Couldn't give me that much respect?" She scoffs "No I haven't even made a decision yet" Meredith says "This program raised you! I raised you, taught you all that you know. Then made all the concessions that you needed so you could split your time between here and—and—David Hamilton. And—and then, even with all of that you'd be so selfish as to leave in the middle of a historic physician shortage, with the residency program hanging on by a thread?!" Bailey yells. While clutching her chest.

"Bailey" Mer whispers and I can hear the crack in her voice "Y-you're that girl, huh? That same little girl, that's following her attending all around the hospital, right? Breaking all the rules, having sex with the Shepherds, having sex in cars. No one and nobody else matters. It doesn't matter that they were your bosses, not that they're already married, that your dead husband didn't know that you and his ex-wife were having an affair and continued to have an emotional affair for 17 years!!" Bailey yells.

"No enough! Enough now!" Meredith shouts and I can hear the pain in her voice "Yeah, Yeah, ok let's just take a minute here ok?" I say because Bailey had gone to far "Stop I already know where you stand" Bailey cuts me off "No, you stop! Don't you speak to her that way! Why are you speaking to me this way ?! She is here doing us a favour!" Meredith says with tears in her eyes. And Bailey walks out.

Mer just turns around to face me and collapses into my arms crying and I just hold her tight.
