Jazz insisted on following the arrow to see where it would lead. It's useless. Someone could've drawn that to mess with us. Waste of our sweet time. Katie and Joey walked beside each other giggling and playfully nudging each other. They were cute but at the same time, it made me want to gag.

The wind messed with my hair and the clouds got darker and darker.

"Jasper, do you have any clue where we are going?" Katie asked wrapping her arms around Joey's waist. We stood in the middle of nowhere. In a field full of junk and bugs. That made me shiver. Bugs. I always hated them. The feeling when they crawl on my skin. It's like they're leaving a trail of something.

I looked around while Katie was complaining. A house stood on the hill further away. I squinted my eyes to make sure it was there. Seems big. Probably belongs to some rich jerks.

"There's a house," I spoke mainly to myself. The conversation stopped and Jasper was the first one who looked at me. He had an expression that said "I told you so" They followed my eyes to look where I was looking. Katie blinked a few times making sure it was there. Her eyes were no longer as bright blue as they were in the sun. They were more like a shade of gray.

"Fuck yeah. Let's move," Joey spoke wiping the sweat off his forehead and we all followed him. Katie yelled like a little excited child which caused me to smile.

More walking. My legs hurt already. We're not far but it's going to hurt way more going back home. My shoes were starting to lose their color. The mud has dried making them look awful. Jasper was now thinking clearly but still admiring the clouds. And so was I.

Katie was glued to Joey which made me cringe. If somebody asked my opinion, I would say that I never liked her. Even when I first met her, she was nice and chatty. Asked me about the things I enjoyed. I never liked her company but I do believe she's a good person. Just not my person.

"I'll need to repaint my nails," Katie walked near me while Joey went to pee. I admire her for trying to start a conversation with me. I just didn't have any desire to talk to her. She looked at her nails. The black nail polish was scratched and chipped.

"What color should I do?" she asks deep in thought. The blonde looks interested in my answer but the truth is, no matter what I say. She will still paint them black, I think.

The color of Joey's dick.

I held back. I didn't say it but the thought of it made me smile. But I do believe she would do it... which makes me want to call my mom and cry to her so she would pick me up.

"I think just a simple French manicure would look good," I said with a smile and saw Joey run towards us. He gasped and looked like he was dying.

"Dude, why are you running? We won't go anywhere. Don't waste your lungs like that," I said laughing at him. He fell to the grass and lay there in a starfish position. His hair was a mess and the ponytail was no longer good.

"Yeah, yeah. Could've told me that before I started smoking," I smiled at his words. His baggy jeans had green stains from the grass. It'll be a bitch to get rid of.

The house was dark. Some parts looked burnt. Jasper made creepy sounds to scare us. Some part of me was scared. Just not enough to go home. I lit a cigarette while they were trying to find a way to get in without breaking anything. The smoke reached my lungs and before I could say anything Jazz took the toxic thing out of my hand.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

"I ran out," he shrugged innocently. Rolling my eyes I lit another one. Enjoying the burn in the back of my throat I watched Jasper. His veiny arms. Silver rings covered his fingers. Dark hair fell on his forehead. Jazz parted his lips and blew the smoke out. Jasper's shirt was wrinkled.

"I found a way in," Joey disturbed my thoughts and told us to follow him. On the other side of the house, there was a window. It was the most broken but it was dangerous. The shattered glass was everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody got hurt.

"Let's fucking go," I announced brushing the negative thoughts away.
