"Jeremy O'Connor was last seen leaving the Grand hotel after killing twenty-one-year-old Selene Lewis and attacking his grandmother. Police are asking for any tips regarding his whereabouts." The news caster finished his report. Jeremy's mother and grandmother are weeping in his grandfather's arms. They are beyond shocked that Jeremy would do such a thing.

A detective exited the hotel with a piece of paper in his hands. "Looks like our man cleaned Selene's safe out and wrote down a flight number heading to Fiji. We better get reinforcements to the airport pronto." He told his partner, and they hurried out.

Unknown to them, it's a diversion. A yellow 1960's Volkswagen Kombi van in mint condition is cruising down the highway. It's destination, Mexico. Jeremy has decided to leave the country. Just not by plane. After he stole Selene's money, he ran to the beach and found this hippie van. It was the only vehicle that wouldn't draw attention towards him, so he stole the van as well as switched license plate numbers in each state he's crossed.

It took a few days, but he made it to the border. When he made it, he was in disguise, so no one recognizes him. He's got a pillow tucked underneath his shirt with the money stashed in it. He's got a black wig with a matching beard and big square glasses. His heart is pounding as the security checks his car and someone else's passport he was able to obtain by stealing it when they were passed out in their room from partying. That's a story for another time.

"Have a good trip sir." The officer cleared him, and he drove across. When he was out of sight, he blew a sigh of relief. "A new life for me begins. I wonder if I can get away with murder here." He grinned wide as he drives on the road to start a new life in Mexico where no one can find him, and he can retire from cashiering and spend the rest of his life as a serial killer.

The End.
