Sydney hasn't had much luck when when it comes to men but when she met Javonte she felt like it was a possibility that things could change for her. Even with the flaws she found out, she still wanted him. It taught her a lesson. Love is blind.
Sydney wakes up on an airplane. She looks around and sees Javonte sitting next to her.
Javonte looks at her.
"You good?", asked Javonte.
Sydney nods.
Sydney began to realize that everything was a dream. They were just leaving Miami after their assignment and after Sydney got out of hospital from inhaling smoke in the fire. Everything was a dream.
Sydney looks forward.
"I think you're right. I think we've been friends all these years for a reason. That's the way God intended us to need each other...sometimes when you love a person, you want what's best for them. That's what you said right?", asked Sydney.
"Yea", Javonte replied.
"And sometimes that love can be blinding that you forget about healing or improving or maintaining the level of self awareness for yourself... you said you have things to work on. Work on that...whatever happens in the future. Happens. That's the way God intended things to be...on the bright side we will always be in each other's lives as friends", said Sydney.
Javonte smiles. "Exactly", said Javonte. "I mean like...it would be great to try things out but...I just got so much stuff going on mentally that I just need to be alone....work things out with LJ."
"Nah...no point in going backwards.", said Sydney. "Just gotta move forward."
Javonte nods.
"But I'm I got a video of you this time. You were snoring kinda loud", said Javonte.
Sydney starts laughing. "Wow", she said.
"I would've woke you up but you didn't get that much sleep last night.", said Javonte.
"Well thanks for letting me snore instead", said Sydney.
Javonte chuckles. "No problem", he said.
The following day, Sydney went to work. As she sat at her desk, someone walked up to her.
"Excuse me miss", he said.
Sydney looks at him.
He was very attractive and tall. At least he was from Sydney's point of view.
"How can I help you?", asked Sydney.
"My name is Shawn. I just started last week and well I haven't seen you around before. I just wanted to introduce myself.", said Shawn.

"Well...it's a pleasure to meet you Shawn. I'm Sydney", said Sydney as she put her hand out for him to shake.
Shawn shakes her hand.
"Thought I'd feel a rock on this hand", said Shawn.
"No. Single...I guess a guy hasn't been lucky enough to make that commitment", said Sydney.
