"It's hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember" -unknown

The silence kills me. "Ok, I'm going to take a shower." Adeera breaks the silence and walks into the house. Mikael waves for me to come in and I do.

The house looks the same, exactly like how I came last time. I miss the feeling of walking in Mikael's cold room with the fan on. It's exactly how I like it.

Old enough to get a comfy blanket and chill while watching football games. That's what I call "me time."

She used to be my "me time"

I have to stop thinking about her. "So, how've you been my guy" I follow Mikael to the kitchen and sit on their high chairs.

"Bro, it's been hella of a week" He sighs while grabbing my favorite snacks. He throws it to me and I catch while laughing. "My guy" I say pointing at him as we then walk to the living room.

We plop on the grey comfy sofa that sinks you in. And I grab the remote before Mikael. "Uh uh, my house" he glared at me and I open my mouth "uh uh, I'm your guest" I give him a smile and he laughs while snatching it away from me.

"No dude, your family. Doesn't count" he changes the channel and than looks at me and I pout. He rolls his eyes and throws it to me.

I catch it and smile "thank you and now we will be watching All American." My favorite show. Netflix doesn't have the best t shows anymore but it's fine because I don't watch that much.

I used to.

"Your obsessed with football. Take a break and play some basketball" I hand Mikael the remote and he changes the channel.

"This" he pauses "this is the key to my heart" he gestures to the tv and I lean back.

"Yeah yeah" I roll my eyes annoyed. I really wanted to watch see football man. Mikael and I are like brothers so I'm letting it go. But next time...I won't.

-It's been an hour now. We've been watching ho key for some time and now I get up to grab some water. I grab a cup and walk to the fridge to the ice machine.

While waiting for the ice I look at the refrigerator and my eyes glue to a piece of paper that says Adeera's name.

Adeera Myers, you have been accepted to refill  the missing presence of Danielle Quinn. We have gone over your application and would like you to come join us for a reunion at Blakes Bookstore at 6:30 on amidst afternoon. We hope to see you there!

She got in? Oh my god. She got in! Oh my god...she's going to refill for Danielle.

Oh I wish I could tell her how happy I am for her. "Yo" I turn around when I hear Mikael walk to me. He points to the ice and when I turn around the whole cup of filled with ice.

"Shit" I say putting some of the ice back. Mikael walks to see what I was reading and he puffs. "Oh yeah, that."

"She got in yesterday" he bites his lip likes he doesn't want to say something. "My parents still put her stuff on the refrigerator." He looks at me with a sad face.

"I know" I look at him "I remember" I recall back to the night where Adeera and I used to be friends. Mikael and his dads were fixing the wall or something when Mikael dropped the hammer and it hit his dads foot.

Mikael's dad got a purple toe. After that night Mikael and his father aren't the same as they used to be. There were some days where his dad came in the door drunk. His mom would sober him up but he would always say stuff to Mikael.

Mikael thinks his dad hates him.

"Your his son. He can't hate you" I put water in the cup and hand it to him. "Here" Mikael raises his eyebrows "water helps you calm down. Even when your crying" I add. "Uh. I'm not crying" mikael looks at me.

"I know but sometimes our talks are heavy, who knows" I shrug. "Thanks " Mikael smiles at me and sips some of the water.

We walk upstairs to his room and when we pass Adeera's room I peek and she looks at me as she sits on her bed with tears on her eyes.

Wha- why is she crying?

She gets up and slams the door on my face. I hear Mikael snickering and I smile. At least he's laughing.

That's all that matters. Well maybe Adeera too. She's still...something I care about. And I want to know why she was crying.

Was it me? Did I make her cry? Is it because I'm here...

"Bro, we should bring the boys over and do a rematch" Mikael smirks at me holding his phone. A couple of days ago we were at this boy named Olivers house and we played some basketball. Now Mikael wants a rematch.

Sure. Why not?

"Yeah, cool. Let's do it" I walk in Mikael's room and lay on his bed. They always had comfy beds.

"What if some people don't come?" I look at Mikael as he starts dialing numbers. "We can ask Adeera to play, sometimes she likes to play" he shrugs.

I can work with that.

I nod and grab out my phone. I check that I have a new message so when I click it something inside me lights up with happiness I never knew was there.

Adeera: Hey.
You: Howdy.
Oh my god she texted me.
Adeera: I missed you.
You: I missed you more.

I closed my phone and looked up at Mikael. "You were texting the mystery girl you like, weren't you?" As he said that a smirk grew on my face.

Oh, if he actually know who my mystery girl was than there would be war.

Hey gorgeous~
