James watched for his office balcony as Y/n and Wanda walked the gardens of the castle that were covered in snow, The door of the office opened he turned to find Steve, a serious look on his face it made him look so much older than he was. "Our scouts stopped Hydrana on our west boarder."

James glanced back at his wife then walked back into the office. "Did they catch any one?"

"One he's a young soldier." Steve replied.

James gave him a firm nod. "Alright have a scout bring him here and put him in the dungeon, don't tell Y/n I don't want her stressed right now." Steve nodded and bowed leaving the office.

Later Y/n was heading to James' office when Wanda walked up to her. "Y/n the scouts are bringing back a soldier from Hydrana." The lady voice was hushed.

"How did I not know about this?" Y/n asked her, Wanda shrugged, Y/n walked up to the door's Y/n pushed the door open finding her husband looking down at something on his desk. "Why didn't I know about the soldier?" She asked, James jumped not expecting her.

"I don't want you stressed." His sapphire blue eyes looked down at her his hand curets her cheek.

"James, I don't want a Hydranian upon us, there like snakes who slither their way through things and are greasy and slimy." Y/n's nose scrunched as she spoke, James laughed. "What's so funny."

"Y/n, I love you but your so damn dramatic, he's a man he's not a snake and he is not going to slither men cannot do that."  James smirked at her. "And winter solstice is coming upon us soon and I want you to have fun, I don't believe you celebrate this in the south."

Y/n huffed. "Don't change the topic and no we don't we celebrate summer solstice, but it's not a major holiday."

"Winter solstice is our biggest holiday of the year and it's your first I want you to enjoy it, do not worry about the soldier." James told her.

Y/n, open the door about to walk out of the room, with James when they saw the long red hair and the dark red sweeping skirts of Wanda running away down the halls, Y/n followed her until Wanda stopped at her own room, Y/n knocked softly. "Hmm." The sound was followed by a sniffle.

"Wanda what's wrong?" Y/n asked.

Wanda whipped her eyes trying to make it look as though she was not crying, she opened the door. "Nothing is wrong your highness."

Y/n tilted her head and her eye brows furrowed. "Wanda what is going on, you never refer to me as that."

"I don't know maybe it's because I'm a slithering snake." Wanda spat.

"What do you-" Y/n cut herself off. "That wasn't pointed at you that was pointed at Hydraniann's."

"I am." Wand huffed.

Y/n blinked a few times. "What?"

"Your father saved me when I was five and I became your lady." Wanda sniffled. "Now if you please leave me." Wanda shut the door in Y/n's face.

Y/n walked back to her chambers where James waited for her. "What happened?" His voice piqued in curiosity.

"I hurt Wanda she heard what I said about Hydrana, and now she doesn't want to talk to me." Y/n swiped at a single tear from her cheek.

James stood seeing the hurt in Y/n's eyes. "It'll be alright she'll forgive you, just give her space."

Y/n huffed. "Alright." She sighed.

Late in the night Wanda walked towards the room that the King and the Queen shared, she opened the door silently as she stepped thorough the threshold, she walked over to Y/n's side. "Y/n." She whispered; Y/n rolled over pushing her hair away from her face.

Her eye brows furrowed. "Wanda?" Y/n's voice was filled with sleep.

"Come on, follow me." Wanda told her, the red head help Y/n out of bed, they headed to the hall way.

"What are we doing?" Y/n asked.

"We're going to see who this soldier is." Wand explained as she put a simple black  over Y/n to hide her identity.

"What we can't go down to the dungeons." Y/n yawned.

Wanda arched a brow at Y/n. "Y/n you are like a sister to me, do this for me please."

Y/n rolled her eyes and nodded, following Wanda, as they were walking, they passed Steve who was walking his rounds around the castle, Steve nodded to Wanda and arched a brow at the cloaked figure beside her. "Who's that?" He asked.

"A new lady for the Queen, I'm taking her to the maid chambers, and I'm going to teach her tomorrow." Wanda smiled.

"Alright." Steve nodded continuing, Y/n let out a breath of relief, they continued walking.

Once they got down to the dungeons, it was colder a shiver went through their bodies it felt like it got 10 degrees colder than before, they saw a figure curled up in a ball. "Hello?" Wanda called out Y/n looked over and hit her shoulder, Wanda glared at her, the figure looked up.

"Who are you?" He asked he had a thick accent and light blond almost silver hair.

"Pete?" Wanda asked.

James rolled over his hand reaching out for the other body that should be there, when he could not find her, he opened his eyes, he rushed to get out of bed and ran to the door, Steve was just passing the chambers, Steve looked at his friend with furrowed brows. "Y/n's missing."
Steves jaw clenched. "The prisoner must know something about this." The both rushed down to the dungeon.

Wanda stepped closer to the sell. "Petro it's me its Wanda your sister I-I thought you died." She said as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Wanda?" He asked.

She smiled as tears started to roll down her cheeks, the load sound of the door being opened echoed through the room. "Wanda, we got to go." Y/n whispered, then the sound of a throat being cleared echoed through the room, both women turned to look at the men.

James led Y/n to their chambers, as the king had instructed his captain to have a guard stand watch outside of Wand's room, James pitched the bridge of nose. "What were you and Wanda, who we found out is a Hydranian hours ago, doing in the dungeon with a Hydranian soldier. What The Hell, How Do You Want To Gain My Trust!" His anger rose as he thought about it. Y/n in that moment had never felt more her age than ever, she felt like Tony or her father was lecturing her after she did something wrong, she shrunk into herself as tears welled in her eyes, she felt younger than she had ever, James' brows furrowed, then he sighed realizing what he said. "You don't have anything to prove to me you have my trust, I'm just angry."

"I-we didn't mean anything by its Wanda wanted to see if she possibly knew the soldier."  Y/n explained, her voice was shaky.

James huffed as he took a step closer to Y/n, he roughly kissed her, his hands holding her face. "I just don't want to see you hurt." His voice was intense.

She nodded her eyes looked far away. "Okay."

"Let's get to bed again." His voice was quiet, Y/n silently got into the bed and rolled over looking over the edge James put out the candle and Y/n stared into the abyss.
