The castle felt colder towards Y/n more than ever, people whispered as she walked by, it also didn't help that she felt more alone than ever, Wanda wasn't allowed to be Y/n's lady any longer, so now Natasha was Y/n's head lady. "What's wrong?" The woman with short red hair asked.
"I miss Wanda, no offense, your good at your job." Y/n sighed looking away from her reflection.
Natasha smirked. "It's alright I understand, she's your only friend from The South." Natasha finished tying the ribbon at the back of Y/n's , the dress was gold and red and it was very different than the other dress' Y/n ever wore around the castle.
Y/n walked around the guards alone that morning James furrowed his brows as he looked out the window. "What's wrong?" Japer asked his king.
"Y/n is unhappy." He sighed the snow flurried away past the window.
Jasper sighed. "She committed an act of treason going against her kingdom, she's lucky we didn't take her life, what if the south is plotting angst us, what if they are working with Hydrana?"
"Hydrana killed her parents and you want to say that she is working with them?" He asked offed at such an idea.
"It could be a cover up your highness, maybe we've been to kind." Jasper concluded. "Maybe you need to be a bit harsher with her."
James shot a glair at the man across form him the advice the man was giving wasn't anything useful to him, he went back to looking out the window. "Thats only going to push us further apart." James hissed at the man.
Jasper rolled his eyes as the king had his back turned. "Good day your highness."
That night James and Y/n sat across from each other the silence felt defanging, Y/n kept her head down and looked at the food on her plate. "You know winter solstice's first day is tomorrow?" He asked.
"Hmm." She hummed.
"Usually, the Royals go to find a large tree for the center of the village on the first day." He informs her.
Y/n sighed. "Is that want you want to do?"
James nodded, hoping they could hopefully reconnect again. "Yes, and I want you to go with me you're the queen...after all." he muttered the last part.
"Yes, I assume that should mean I should go." Y/n said still looking anywhere but James. "Can I be excused."
"Yes of course." He nodded.
Y/n walked out of the dining room to the library as she walked, she found James' advisor's door slightly open, she looked in with furrowed brows he looked as though he was urgently writing a letter to someone. He stood from his desk and headed out of the door Y/n continued walking in the direction of the library when she heard the loud echoing scoff, of irritation, of the man she turned, her hair sweeping through the air as she did. "Sir Jasper do you have an issue?" She asked.
"I think the king is being to kind to you, incessant child, with no boundary's you commit treason in other kingdom's kings do worse than take their queens favorite chamber maiden away." He hissed at her then he continued walking briskly away. Y/n sighed, there being nothing she could do about the man, she continued her walk as she entered, she found her book resting on the table where she'd left it.
Later that night, James was concerned when Y/n hadn't come back to the bedroom, he looked in the first place she could be which was the library, he walked in and found her sprawled out asleep on the couch, he smiled seeing her at peace. James picked her up and started carrying her away to the room, he let her ladies change her into one of her sleeping Once they finished the king got into bed, he laid next to her but as he did that, she started thrashing much like she had the night before their wedding, James started shaking her awake. "It's okay I'm here your safe."
