1st Person

Erica runs into the room, "Steve says you need to hurry!"

Me, Max, Lucas, Dustin, Robin, and Eddie were rummaging around Eddie's room to find something Nancy might like.

"Yeah? No shit!" Dustin yells at her.

Max glances at Erica, "We're trying. We can't find anything"

"What is all this shit?" Robin holds up tapes.

Eddie drops the stuff he was holding, "What are you even looking for?"

"Madonna, Blondie, Bowie, Beatles?" she puts out her hand holding Eddie's Metal tapes, "Music! We need music!"

Eddie grabs the Iron Maiden cassette, "This is music!"

"M/N, aren't you over here all the time, shouldn't you know where the non-metal tapes are?!" Max yells at me.

"I don't think Eddie even has anything like that!" I yell back.

Eventually Nancy got out of the trance thankfully not needing the music.

We helped Steve and Nancy get out of the upside down, and we made our way to Max's place.

We were all sat in the Living room as the sun rose.

Erica, Eddie, and Steve were on the couch; across from where Nancy was sitting on a cushioned chair.

Robin was sitting crisscrossed against a shelf, and Dustin was standing to the right of Erica.

Max and Lucas were standing by the entry to the kitchen.

And me, I was sat on the floor between Eddie's legs, with my legs stretched out underneath the coffee table.

Nancy's voice was horse, "He showed me things that haven't happened yet. The most awful things".

"I saw" she begin to describe, "a dark cloud spreading over Hawkins. Downtown on fire. Dead soldiers. And this... Giant creature with... a gaping mouth. And this creature wasn't alone. There were so many monsters. An army. And they were coming into Hawkins. Into our neighborhoods. Our homes"

She looked like she was about to cry, "And then... He showed me my mom. And Holly. Mike. And they... They were all..." she couldn't finish.

"Okay, but... he's just trying to scare you, Nance" Steve scoffs, "Right? I mean... I mean, it's not real"

"Not yet" Nancy looks back at her shoes, " But there... there was something else. He showed me gates. Four gates. Spreading across Hawkins. And these gates, they looked like the one outside of Eddie's trailer, but... they didn't stop growing. And this wasn't the Upside Down Hawkins. This was our Hawkins. Our home" she squeaks.

We all couldn't help but worry.

"Four chimes" we all look to Max, "Vecna's clock. It always chimes four times. Four exactly".

"I heard them too" Nancy states.

Max slowly shakes her head, "He's been telling us his plan this whole time"

"Four kills. Four gates. End of the world" Lucas reveals.

"If that's true...He's only one kill away" Dustin looks to all of us.

Eddie puts his hands in his face, "Oh Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ" I lean my head back into his lap.

"Try 'em again. Try 'em again" Steve yells to Max.
