A/N: Okay so I just realized that I published Alluring Dancers last Wednesday instead of this chapter. I'm not going to take the Alluring dancers chapter down, but in October (when I update my dance moms book) I will only be updating one chapter of Alluring dancers.

ARIADNE
"Hey."
Glancing up, I smile at Gianna. "Hey, girl. How was class?"
Gianna sighs, making her way behind the desk. "Class. What are you up to?"
Artfully I switch tabs as Gianna drops her bag to the floor. "Just working on some music for Mom."
"Did Abby tell you who has solos this week?"
"Yeah. Nia, Maddie, Chloe, Myla, and Ilse."
"Nia?"
"Nia," I say firmly. Just because Nia wasn't as technical as some of the girls doesn't mean she deserves less than them. "Out of everybody, she spent the most time here at the studio during the break. Even more than me."
"Well, you were on your honeymoon, so that doesn't count," Gianna takes the chair beside her and brings out her laptop. "How's the moving process?"
"Don't even get me started on that. I haven't even started, and we move Wednesday. Who knew packing a one-bedroom apartment would be so hard? And now Mom wants me here tomorrow for the tryouts."
"We've all been asked to be there," Gianna points out. "We have a lot of amazing new students, though, so this is gonna be hard."
I hum. Ever since the show aired, we suddenly had more people signing up to dance here. It's great for business but horrible for my social life.
Hearing the door swing open, I lift my head to greet the person entering and pause when I see Holly. "Hello, Holly."
"Hi Gianna, Ariadne. How are you, girls?"
"Great," I smile at her. "Nia has a solo."
Holly beams. "That's great. Are either of you working with her on it?"
"Sorry. But it's all Mom with that one."
Holly sighs, and I wince. "Well, thank you for telling me. I'll head up; see you, ladies, later."
"See you later."
"Bye."
When Holly leaves, I turn back to Gianna. "She looks upset."
"Well, Abby has made it clear that she's not happy with Holly right now. Holly is never here while everyone else is."
"Okay," I mutter, turning back to my laptop. Mom always goes on about how she wishes none of the moms were here, but as soon as one Mom is gone, she's upset.
"Do you know what we're doing!?"
I don't even bother looking up. "The only thing I know is you're solo, Ilse."
"The group routine is 'Sassy Doll.' It's so childish," Ilse slumps on the front desk. "This is why I didn't want to be on this team. We're gonna get beat in LA."
Finally, looking up, I chuckle at the pout on her face. "You know your solo is a musical theater piece."
She waves me off. "Your musical theater is completely different from Moms. It's actually challenging."
