"I love you." I murmured right before he pressed his lips back onto mine. Fireworks exploded in my stomach for the millionth time that day. I curved into him and he pulled me even closer.

"Hey, Funkyhair! Guess who-" Ro started before faltering at the sight of us. We jumped apart, but the damage was already done. Her mouth had fallen open in shock. She lifted her newly-painted pointer finger to point first at me, and then to Keefe.

"Wha-hu-how-I-you-WHAT?" she sputtered. I smiled sheepishly and Keefe lifted a hand to nervously rub the back of his neck.

Keefe and I had been dating for over 5 months. Secretly. To anyone else, we were just friends (oof that's hurting the mlb fandom in me XD). We'd been very careful, only showing affection when we were sure we were alone. But, with 6 different bodyguards always nearby, we were bound to get caught eventually.

"Ro, you can't tell anyone." I said calmly.

"Well, obviously. But I don't understand! How?" she asked incrediously, turning to look at Keefe. "I mean, she's the queen of obliviousness!" she stage-whispered to him.

"Hey!" I objected.

"Sorry, Blondie, but it's true."

"She's not wrong, Foster." Keefe added, smirking.

I crossed my arms and Keefe chuckled, putting his arm around my waist and pulling me closer. He leaned in and kissed my cheek, which effectively made me blush, as he knew it would.

"Foster, you're blushing~" he said in a sing-song voice.

"Shut up." I replied, hiding the crimson tint in my cheeks by burying my face in his side, causing him to laugh.

"Aww, it's so cute!" Ro fangirled before suddenly changing her facial expression into one of all seriousness. "Now, explain. I want to know everything."

I gulped, exchanging a nervous glance with Keefe.

"Hey, Foster!" Keefe yelled down the Foxfire hallway, waving his hand in the air like an idiot. I groaned and buried my face in my hands.

"How are you, darling?" Keefe whispered into my ear once he'd made his way to where I was standing by my locker.

Once we'd started dating, Keefe saw it as an excuse to give me even more nicknames, resulting in the use of the endearment 'darling' whenever we were alone.

I rolled my eyes once before responding.

"Good. How about you?" I asked, shoving my books into my locker.

"Better now that I'm with you." he replied, smirking, his voice low. An embarassing shade of red made its way across my face and I elbowed him in the side.

"Stop saying stuff like that! Someone might hear you!" I scolded quietly.

"You're just upset I can make you blush so easily." he teased.

"Hey, lovebirds." Ro said, loud enough for the entire hallway to hear. I turned red and started to chuckle nervously. Keefe, always the smooth one, played it cool.

"Hear that, Foster? Apparently we're lovebirds." Keefe said, nudging me and smirking. Keefe usually joked like this in public to avoid suspicion since that's how he used to act before we got together. I usually had to force a blush to paint my face, - which wasn't ever hard because just being in Keefe's proximity did that to me - but today I already had one due to Ro's previous comment.

I opened my mouth to respond, but announcements started and we made our way over to the orientation hall, escaping Ro, who was still trying to make her way to us. In the middle Magnate Leto's announcement about ability detecting, Keefe leaned over towards me. Keeping his eyes forward, he brought his mouth to my ear.

"Ditch with me." he hummed.

I turned to look at him, raising my eyebrows.

"Please?" he asked, giving me his best pleading look.

"Fine." I agreed, smiling slightly. My first class was Telepathy, anyways, which lessened my chances of getting detention. As long as it wasn't too often, Tiergan usually didn't mind it when I skipped, seeing as he didn't have much more to teach me anyways. Ditching with Keefe also got me out of telepathy exercises with Fitz, which, with every exercise, increased the possibility of our secret relationship being discovered.

Once orientation had ended, Keefe grabbed my hand, dragging me towards a secluded hallway.

"Wait, Keefe. I have to go tell Tiergan I'm ditching." I said, trying to pull my hand out of his.

"Your goody-two-shoes tendancies are exhausting." he replied, trying to sound exasperated but letting me go nonetheless.

Opening a portal to teleport, I held out my hand, beckoning.

"You coming?"

"You sure travel in style." he laughed, taking my hand and pulling me through the portal.

"Sophie. I'm g- Keefe? What are you doing here?" he asked, sounding confused before holding up his hand in a stop motion. "Wait, don't tell me. You're ditching again, aren't you?"

I nodded sheepishly and he sighed, but waved for me to go.

"Thanks, Tiergan." I said sincerely. He smiled slightly and nodded.

I pushed Keefe back through the still-open portal, following closely behind, and just in time. Right as it was closing, I heard a familiar voice belonging to a certain brown-haired elf enter Tiergan's classroom. Glad I missed that.

"Well, Lady Fos-Boss, what have we here?" Keefe asked in deep voice, his eyes intense and alluring. He was leaning on the opposite wall, his eyes locked on mine. I gulped, feeling the heat rising to my face. Keefe got like this sometimes, and when he did, my whole body felt like it was on fire.

"Keefe." I whined, telling him both that he was torturing me, and that he should hurry up and come kiss me.

He chuckled and slowly walked over to me, trapping me against the wall. He wrapped one arm around my waist and brought the other to the side of my face. He moved to kiss me and my eyes fell closed. I felt his breath fan across my face, my lips. Moments passed and our lips still hadn't collided, so I cracked my eyes open to see him smirking.

"Oh, were- were you expecting me to kiss you?" he teased. I rolled my eyes and smacked his arm.

"Would you just kiss me already?" I asked, exasperated.

"Not yet. I'm not done."

"Done doing what?"

"Looking at you. You look beautiful, as always."

"Oh, shut up." I said, trying to turn my face to the side to hide my prominent blush, but Keefe's hand stopped me from doing so. He held my face so I was looking him straight in the eye.

"Make me." he said, no hint of joking in his tone.

"Okay, fine." I answered before smashing my lips onto his.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, running my hand through his hair. He tightened his arm around my waist, pulling me flush against him. We both pulled away for air before meeting right back in the middle.

"Love you." he muttered against my lips, kissing me deeper.

Seconds later, I heard a sound coming from somewhere nearby. I broke the kiss, turning my face towards the sound. There was a figure at the end of the hallway, but it was too dark to see who it was. My heart was race and the panic started to set in. I was still completely wrapped in Keefe's arms and anyone who saw us would know what was going on.

The lights turned on and I saw Ro standing there, annoyance painted on her face.

"Get a room!" she groaned.

I exchanged a look with Keefe before we both burst out laughing. Ro rolled her eyes and stalked off, muttering about "stupid teenagers".
