Done and over with

Intro

Everyone was screaming and running for the door to the under ground, Kat watched panicked as everyone raced past them. The infection had gotten worse as red vines infected house that were in the shade if they weren't careful it could infect things in the sun soon.

A man by the name of William Daniels the president of 4567 grabbed their hand "Kat I know this is asking much but I need you to stay behind" his blond hair blowing in the wind. Kat sighed before watching as people coughed up blood before dropping "I know you okay you'll survive take this" they gained a walkie talkie.

William smiled sadly before hugging them "I'm sorry but at least my men built you a little spot where you can stay I wish you luck" Kat had met William when he was a tiny kid and he just kinda stuck to them before finding out they couldn't die or get hurt as far as the both of them knew.

Kat sighed before looking down as they watched the doors close, the sirens stopped making them feel calm "bye bud.." They spoke knowing he couldn't hear them now.

Watching everyone die around you while you get to live didn't feel right and now everyone is gone well in the underground city William had requested to be built.

Kat made their way to the little spot in the broken walls where they found a door "hm" they entered to find a cozy little area which had a medium sized bed and a couch.

The Tv was still plugged in, William knew how much Kat loved movies so he stocked up on them for this moment. He cared a lot about Kat even though he knew he didn't have to he still did.

Kat walked over to the fridge "I'm never hungry but it feels human to eat" they grabbed an apple before sitting down and eating it while watching the movie that was already inside the dvd player.

              4589 December 30th

Kat was hunting a bird when they got a buzzing from the walkie "yeah?" They pushed the bottom before talking to let the person on the other side know they are here. They heard heavy breathing "Kat its here we are so fucked!" They heard William speak he sounded so scared "what?" He didn't let them finish "the infection it started a plague down here and its killing a bunch of people off" Kat's eyes widened.

They got back to the bunker like area with a fire already going they set the bird on the stick "are you okay?" He chuckled "nervous as always but yes everyone on the higher levels are okay" Kat looked down of course William would separate rich from poor.

It was messed up but what could they do? Only William and his right hand man wouldn't open the city so there was no way they could go down and beat the shit out of him. William spoke about the wall and how the slums are the most infected and have the most infected rate.

Kat talked back about how everything up here was going okay and that the vines were clearing, William said he didn't want to risk anybody on the surface incase there was a gas that Kat hadn't noticed.

William told Kat he'd call them back before leaving, Kat sighed sliding down on their bed. At least with running around trying to remain human by hunting and eating they haven't gained much weight.

Kat struggled a lot with that when they were normal so it felt nice to never have to worry about that.

           4599 August 4th

Kat hadn't heard anything from the underground "this isn't good" they spoke holding their face in their hands. They heard scratching at their door so they slowly went to the door and opened it to show a cat "woah a cat?" It looked pregnant so Kat let her in.

The cat instantly laid on the carpet and passed out "don't be dead please" Kat pleaded until the cat started to pur "okay um naming you" they thought for a second "um your a calico so maybe Rico?" The cat didn't argue so Kat nodded "okay Rico looks like I've got two mouths to feed" Rico purred louder.
