Done and over with

Chapter four- Mid town

Kat woke up to a butterfly landing on their nose, they looked around to find themselves higher up on the tree "huh?" They panicked until they saw Ginger and B12 over by the side.

They were talking to someone so they got up and went over to see a robot hooked up to a bunch of monitors. All of the faces looked at them "ah Kat I presume its nice to meet you" Kat nodded figuring it's zbalthazar.

zbalthazar watched as Ginger and B12 went to go talk to the people down the tree. He looked up "what's wrong you look upset?" He asked making Kat shocked "its nothing" zbalthazar chuckled "you know I remember the start of the infection one of my fathers friends was like you" Kat sat by him.

zbalthazar continued "they hid their feelings so I got good at sensing when they were upset so that they didn't have to bottle it up" Kat looked down at their hands, he spoke "its not good for anyone to bottle up their feelings so talk to me what worries you dear?" Kat sighed talking off Momo's jacket "I don't know if I want to go back to the surface.." They muttered making zbalthazar sigh.

Kat looked up "The cats were gonna leave soon to be on their own anyway I don't want to be alone again" Kat remembers those bare lonely years. Kat knew Ginger wanted to but Kat wasn't sure they wanted to be with him when they did.

zbalthazar gave them a look "Kat it is your choice what you do I'm sure Ginger would understand if you wanted to stay back after helping him out but think it over because its not likely you'll see your furry friend again" Kat looked back down digging their nails into the flesh of their leg wanting to distract from the pain in their head.

They got up "I'm gonna go look for Ginger and B12" they slipped on the jacket before jumping down. They grabbed a bar landing beside a couple of kid robots who jumped "oh hello your awake" the one surrounded by flowers spoke "I didn't think sleeping upright was comfortable I hope you don't mind that I moved you" Kat thanked him before moving down until they got to the lowest part of the tree.

A robot with an updo looked panicked "my son please help him!" Kat looked over to see a mini robot stuck in trash and stuff. They nodded and started to sprint over, they hopped on different cans until they got to the spot.

The kid looked up and Kat picked him up kicking the trash away, they were about to run away back to the tree when their leg was tugged into the trash filled water. The kid screamed as Kat tried getting away, the trash filtered away and Kat told the kid to hurry back before the path was destroyed.

He nodded and Kat let him go, he did as told but Kat was pulled under. Kat tried to resurface but was pulled back down, they looked at what was grabbing them only to see two glowing red eyes.

They closed their eyes again trying to kick it, they were panicking and running out of air. They kicked and tried swimming back up, they saw a figure in the light of surface above the water.

Kat reached up when they got pulled up, once they hit a solid part they coughed and tried getting the metal grasp off of them. The robot who saved them pulled it off, it was a robot who was cut in half.

It had two red eyes that stared at Kat "Y-you n-need t-to...." It tried talking but it powered down shutting its eyes one last time before Kat was pulled up and carried by their savior to the tree. Kat hugged their body, the water felt so cold and now its worse since they got out.

Who was that robot and why did it want Kat so badly? Maybe it wanted out of the water but it grabbed Kat from the surface. Kat couldn't wrap their head around it as they held themselves close their breathing unstable "Kat!?" B12 shouted making Kat look over.

The robot told B12 what had happened, Ginger tried to rub up on Kat legs but Kat jumped. B12 got them to get up as he got them up the ladders and stuff until they got to Zbalthzar.

The sun was best near him so B12 wanted Kat to dry off, Kat hated it why did everything have to happen today? Also why to them, wasn't it hard enough that they were alone?

Kat watched as B12 and Ginger told zbalthazar bye, they got up wanting out of here at all cost. They jumped up grabbing things to help until they found a hole that was labeled Mid town. B12 and Ginger weren't far behind, Kat went through to find an old station.

B12 stopped them "zbalthazar said to wear these you can get caught if you go as yourself" Kat was handed a mask that looked like a robot face, a large scarf and a beanie "hurry up we need to go" B12 spoke so Kat hurried and they all ran to the stairs which of course only had a cat sized hole.

Kat looked at B12 so B12 used a pipe to make the hole bigger. They went in and they all headed for the next stairs which led to a beautiful city like place.

Kat hoped they had some kind of old shower of bathtub they could use. The water from the Antvillage stunk which is a bummer since Kat is drenched in it.

Kat looked at B12 for what to do, B12 told them to go look for the address on the picture while he looked around for anything useful.

Kat wondered around until a robot with a couple gold chains bumped into them. He looked angry but he helped them up anyway "watch where your going" Kat was equally annoyed "you too mr. I'm so cool" they mocked him as he got up close and personal before a couple of guard robots walked up "any problems?" Kat looked frightened these robots looked so scary and had a weapon on them.

The robot with the chains held his hands up "oh no no no they bumped into me is all no trouble" Kat looked at him "what no!" The robots grabbed them and took them to a large place it had Clems picture on it but it had the same name as the address did.

Kat was pushed in "be good" Kat rolled their eyes only to see Ginger jump down and a camera broke and fell right after. The robots there looked shocked "well here as promised" they handed B12 a mixtape.

B12 and Ginger walked over "hey Clems place is on the third floor she knows who you are so you'll be able to get in" B12 told them.

Kat walked up the steps before being dragged into a room, a robot with retro clothes waved "hey I'm Clem your Kat right?" Kat took off the mask "yeah" Clem smiled before looking at their clothes "I can set up a bath if you'd like" Kat nodded.

Clem was truthful, she got hot water and clean products for Kat. Kat was able to get clean while Clem got them different clothes of course at the request leaving Momo's jacket because it meant a lot to Kat. Clem was still going to wash it though, Kat sighed and let her.

Clem came back with a towel and some new clothes. They were pretty but not really Kat's style but they weren't gonna complain if they were gonna get their old clothes back soon anyway.

Clem gave them a black turtle neck but the sleeves were mesh, a white and black pair of shorts "I'm sorry its all I can find I'd give you pants but mine are ripped" Kat quickly forgave her for that, and got some new boots.

Kat was uncomfortable but with Momo's jacket on and clean Kat felt so much better. Kat felt like they were being watched "where are Ginger and B12?" They asked Clementine "I sent them to get a battery with Blazer" Kat nodded not knowing who Blazer is.

Kat let Clementine play with their hair while Kat read some of Clems books, fair trade. Clementine smiled at her work once she was done, she had curled Kat's hair "you look so pretty!" Clementine clapped her hands.

This felt like when Kat was a teen at slumber parties, they were interrupted by the window being open. The robot from earlier came in "Blazer?" Clementine looked up before she was hit by Blazer making her fall. Kat got up quickly wanting to grab a weapon but Blazer came from behind them readying the bat he had.

Kat looked over at Blazer scared "oh don't worry they can't hurt you, you are so much more interesting in person" Blazer went forward before hitting them over the head. They fell into his arms making him scoff.
