What's Real

We entered the great hall laughing happily. I started walking to my usual seat when I realized that Pansy was not in her usual seat. All year Theo sat across from me, Draco was next to Theo, Blaise was next to Draco, and Pansy was by me, but when I walked in today Pansy was in Draco's seat next to Theo. Fortune Draco had already noticed and grabbed my arm, guiding me to a seat.
"Where are we gonna sit?"
Draco "Right next to them"
"Why?"
Before Draco could answer my question we had arrived at our seats. Draco sat across from Theo and I was across from Pansy. Now I understood why Draco had us sit here, we were close enough that Theo would hear the flirting. I looked over at Draco and he looked back at me with a mischievous grin.
Draco "so are we still going to Hogsmead this weekend?"
I immediately caught on to what he was doing.
"Yeah, I just have to get some stuff done first"
Draco "like what?"
"Well I need to look at the egg I got from the first task of the tournament, I haven't done that yet"
Draco "maybe I can help?"
I briefly glanced over at Theo. Pansy was rambling on and on about random things, it was obvious that Theo was annoyed and couldn't care less. He was listening to my conversation with Draco far more that he was listening to Pansy.
"Yeah sure, come by my dorm later and we can look at it"
Draco "alright, anything for more time with you"
I wanted to burst out laughing, and I'm sure Draco felt the same way, but we had to keep it together in order for Theo to believe it.
"Perfect"
I smiled warmly at Draco before stealing one more glance at Theo. He was looking directly at Draco, poking his cheek with his tongue. Draco noticed and sent a rude glare Theo's way. We ate and chatted for a little longer before we were dismissed. I got up and made my way to DADA and took my seat. I forgot that Theo sat next to me until I saw him walk in. He took his seat next to me silently. The first half of class went by as usual, until Madeyes assignment.
Mad-eye "class, as you know today I will be assigning you a project that is worth a fourth of your grade. I will walk around the class to give everyone their assignments. Your partner will be whoever you sit beside. Any questions?"
A few people raised their hands but Mad-eye continued on anyways.
Mad-eye "alright, I'll begin with this side of the room"
He walked over to Mattheo and I.
Mad-eye "your assignment is to research the Killing Curse. I want you to tell me everything about it."
Before I could say anything he had alright walked off. I was about to get out my notebook and write down what Mad-eye had said when Theo spoke to me.
Theo "maybe you and Draco should be partners?"
"I wish we could be, he wouldn't go crazy over me dancing with someone"
Theo "Draco had his hands all over you and you didn't even say anything"
"He had his hands on my fucking waist!"
Theo "exactly"
"I only danced with him because you were to busy with Pansy"
Theo "well you didn't have to be all over Draco"
"And you didn't have to dance with Pansy"
Theo "your such a hypocrite, I can't dance with Pansy but you can dance with Draco?"
"I danced with Draco because he's my friend and you were dancing with someone else, you danced with Pansy because you wanted to even though you knew she was doing it just to piss me off"
Theo "you were flirting with Draco earlier to piss me off! Your little act was so transparent"
"And you sitting there with Pansy wasn't? You wernt even listening to her, and you clearly don't like her so what's the point? Where does the bull shit end Theo?"
Theo "with you!"
"What?"
Theo "it ends with you y/n... every stupid decision or rude comment is because I care about you"
"That doesn't make sense"
Theo "I know..... I'm not used to caring about someone, I honestly just don't know how to"
"I- you-...... that's your excuse? Seriously? You tell me to my face that you never cared about me and hang out with Pansy to make me mad because you care?! What is wrong with you?!"
Theo "I'm trying to apologize so don't be a fucking bitch right now!"
"Excuse me?"
I just went from upset to pissed.
Theo "don't act all innocent right now, just listen-"
"No, you listen. You are SO fucking complicated, I never know if your gonna be happy to see me or call me a bitch or manipulate me or do something stupid, and I can't figure you out! Theo I genuinely cared about you, but now I don't know if I'm being manipulated or if your actually sorry"
Theo "y/n I was never manipulating you!"
"Oh really? Cause you said, point blank, that you were yesterday"
Theo "I was just mad it's not true"
Mad-eye walked to the front of class and dismissed us.
"I'm sorry Theo, but for now I can't trust you."
