Aya was trembling as she opened the door. There was a messenger standing in front of her, with a letter. Aya looked at Akira, who was frightened as well. Are they somehow in trouble already?  Did anyone see them last night? But this a lone coast, nobody comes here much. And nobody would tip them off. Did Izumi do something? But no, Izumi would never make their family go  through this ordeal.

Aya asked putting on a brave front, "What is it?"

The messenger replied, "There is this letter from General Hiroshi."

Aya took the letter, smiled and closed the door. Izumi rushed to her, and saw a letter. She asked, "What is it?"

Aya smiled, as she read it. She said, "You are going to get married soon. HIROTO, Hiroto!"

Saying so, she went into her husband's chamber, with the letter.

Izumi was taken aback. Sumiko and Himari had come out in the hall, due to the commotion.

Himari asked, "Mom, what happened?"

Akira was angrily staring at Izumi. This girl, always got best of everything. And she disliked it.

Akira said, "Izumi is being lusted on by General's son, Enmei. He wishes to marry her."

Himari was surprised. She said, "Don't say lusted. He must have fallen in love with Fu. That's amazing."

Akira was further disgusted by Himari's joyful outburst. Why is such a sycophant of Izumi's?

Izumi was taken aback. Enmei Sato, the General's son, wanted to marry her? Why? Did he not have many girlfriends back in his college days? He always stalked her on the way to college. But this was still a bit of a shock.

Himari said, "My dear Izumi Fuyuko, you are getting married soon then. Nobody would decline such an offer."

Izumi said, "I still am yet to complete my law course. I am not going to marry now. Please, let them know this, Himari."

Izumi angrily left the house. She started walking down the street. She was disgusted with everything happening to her life. It turned upside down. First of all, housing an enemy brings back all bittersweet memories. Especially that Caleb reminded her of two people, who meant a lot to her, and yet both of them  had immensely hurt her. She hated him. Then this Enmei. Why can't she have peace? And of course, the war in the backdrop was making her go insane. Suddenly, Enmei appeared out of nowhere.

She said, "Oops. You here?"

Enmei said, "You received the letter, didn't you? My father and I are here to ask of your opinion."

Izumi said, "I am not interested in marrying you, right now. Or in future. Stop causing trouble."

Enmei said, "Dont you think I know...?"

Izumi was scared. Did he really know? She said, "What do you know?"

Enmei said, "You loved that Itsuki Takeshi. He got blown up. Okay? He died in the Pearl Harbour incident. His ghost isn't returning for you. I am the best you have."

A boy voice floated to her ears. He was saying, "Hey, Izumi..heyy..."

Izumi was glad, as she turned back to see Fuji, her college mate. She said, "Hi, Fuji."

Fuji couldn't understand why Enmei was stalking her. To rescue her, he said, "Will you go for a walk?"

Izumi was glad. She was about to say yes, when Enmei said, "Here comes your best friend. I am going to have a word with your parents. My father is already on the way. Let me see, what is their opinion."
